The level 50 unlock for the mg-34 is a 250 round belt the DP-28 has no unlocks.
I mentioned the 250 round belt unlock a few times but I didn't give the level you get it at.

And for the record it wasn't a true derail we was still talking about mg unlocks ;)

Bump, holy crap I leave this topic hoping to get a reply when I get back and I only get one picture that gives me a feeling of photoshop. Can no one stay on topic and answer the question?

Do we get open belt unlock for 100-200 rounds?

The picture I posted was not photoshoped. I even gave my steam link so you can see it there.

But the double drum (saddle mags) did exist and they were on recirculated versions of the MG-34 from before the war while they were still making accessories for it... Its not that unrealistic... Plus i can definitly understand the 250 round belt, they cant really make it so that there are 2 other guys following you so just leave it as is

Source: http://www.bergflak.com/PT34.htm (this also relates to the guy who was talking abt the PT34)

Wasn't the saddle drum only available to the LuftWaffe and made in extremely small numbers?

The fact that the saddle drum is in the game is baffling to me. These configurations weren't even issued past '41 to foot soldiers. These are silly and an obvious attempt at copying the unlocks from mainstream games like MW and BF. And for RO to implement is , in my mind, not a good thing and certainly not very RO.

(By the way. This guy sounds like southern Will Farrell) :D

Saddle drum was used in ALL Luftwaffe bombers pre 1942 as a standard means of ammunition so what ever it was or was not, it was numerous. Thousands and thousands were built.

Where did you get the info about "Thousands and thousands were built"? The MG15 was used in Luftwaffe Bombers which used saddle drums but they were not the same as MG34 saddle Drums. Mg34 saddle drums are very very rare and only really used in anti aircraft.

It looked photoshooped because it said lvl 25, when it really is 50 so I suspected foul play

Yeah stats are bugged as ****, not my fault ;P I don't have it unlocked in that photo, even though I'm past level 25.

Really? Well to be honest I thought they are the same drum as they are very much alike.... Never mind MG15 and MG34 being in the same family of weapons based on the MG30.

So 250, that makes your LMG an HMG! as a pure MGer I cannot wait to unlock this, sadly I'll probably need to get like 6,000 kills for it.

That's a separate bug; ALL level 50 unlocks will say they will be unlocked at level 25.

Must be some sort of typo from the dev.

I wonder if TWI will lower the number from 250 to a more respectable number like 100 - 150.

I want this for Historical accuracy.

Many others will soon want this for balance.

That's my prediction.

A 150 round belt is more realistic for one guy to be carrying, eventhough it is possible to hog around a 250 belt, but I'd imagine it being quite uncomfortable.

In terms of weight a 250 round belt weighs around 7
