The title says it all. I have never played it and have heard mixed reviews but its hard to beat $5.

If you have played it please post below and let me know your opinion of the game. Thanks!

BUY IT. BUY IT NOW.

As a fan of bleak-*** apocalyptic shooters, this one reminded me of Half Life 2 meets STALKER in all the right ways. I hocked up $40 for it a while back, and I haven't regretted it once.

The .exe has gone all jiggery-buggery, ffuuu-

Downloading a 600~mb file after verifying cache, that should fix it.

Honestly it is an amazing game. It does have some issues (like tiny fov) but the atmosphere is excellent, it feels like a living, breathing world that goes beyond the game's parameters. While a very linear game, it turns it into a positive with a very claustrophobic feeling in the tunnels. You also learn the game as you go, which gives a true feeling of embarking on a first adventure that I've never had in another game. They tell you the basic controls but the nuances you have to learn for yourself.

It's well worth $5. I say buy it immediately.

I had issues running the game to. Often times it would not load... then a few months later it worked fine with no software/hardware changes done to my PC.

When it works it is a rather nice game. Nothing new and it is very linear. But it was nicely done.

Fixed the issue by verifying the cache. :IS2: And this game is absolutely fantastic for a linear shooter, and I don't normally like linear shooters. Stealth missions are an arseache, though.

Don't have a problem with $5 linear games. The $60 ones... now, those really sucks :p

I'm waiting for the dosh I'm getting into my paypal account. I'll buy one for me, one for my brother and the third for a cousin. I may buy another one for steamgifts tho

In many ways I enjoyed Metro 2033 over Stalker. Even though it's linear it has great atmosphere and some great set pieces. Looking forward to Last Light, hopefully they can open up the game world. Have it work a bit more like Rage from central hubs.

Yeah, I wonder if I'd have the same opinion on the game if it were a higher price... Thankfully though, I won't have to find out!

Yeah, I loved the atmo' in Metro, the lighting, the shadows, the darkness, the sound, everything.

And also those god damn sexy gun smoke effects. TRIPWIRE, TAKE NOTE.
