Messages before game starts.

So for a while now I have had to click through these screens before the games starts. I tried finding the files and removing them then verifying game cache, but after they re downloaded. I still get greeted with this. Anyone know that I should do to fix it?

So It seems to be from custom maps some at least.
Just downloaded some workshop maps, and got some new popups relating to them.

Still not sure how to stop it.

My old custom map installer DropZone has a feature to detect those duplicate files and allows you to delete them. You can download it from this thread [url]http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=73515[/URL]

If you open DropZone, then you will see a [Manager] button at the right bottom of the main window. Ckick that button and a new window should appear. At the bottom left is a button [Validate Consistency] button. If you click that one, then it will give a list of all ambigious packages. You can check those that you want to delete and then click the [Delete] button. It will give you a warning when you try to delete a stock RO2 file.

Thanks Ducky down from 6 to two now. No more show up with dropzone. But these 2 remain.

I did update DropZone and it should now also recognize ambiguous packages if the file extension differs. That should solve those last 2 files.

Just open DropZone and it will tell you that a new version is available. Confirm the download/installation and you're good to go.

Yes, you can manually fix this by deleting the ambiguous file with the .roe extension, though the problem is that RO2 does not tell you the correct file location. You will need to manually search for those files. They will probably be somewhere in your <My Documents>\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Published tree.

I had originally gotten them when I placed a custom map in the wrong or different location. I also get them now that I am using the Workshop to automatically download new maps. For me they are just left over files from a manual download and are no longer needed so I delete them.
