Code Merge upk with a Mutator/u

Is it possible to merge a upk with a u file?
Tried doing this:

kfeditor.exe mergerpackages package.upk package.u

Its either not possible or I'm doing it wrong?! It has been done before like with Slots Mutator where custom textures are called from upk. Any help would be appreciated

I think it's a typo (you wrote "mergerpackages"; it should be "mergepackages").
