For me, I will heal the one who are the closest to the front line, no matter who he is. If a player have 1 hp and at the back of everyone, he will not be dead before you heal everyone else first (unless you choose some really bad spot to fight where crawlers will rain down on players).

Also, if someone is getting hurt, he SHOULD retreat behind the team. If he dont, well, you just cant save him everytime...

After second thought, in actual game play, somehow its random, LOL. Sometimes I just heal someone I feel like first. Sometimes I heal omeone I think he can help me survive longer, sometimes I heal myself and start running and prepare for the worst. Hell... medic can heal neraly non-stop... if that player die in 2 seconds, not much I can do anyways.

My principle: Get the heals you know you can get first and at the same time move in to make the next heals easier. This is so that at least a few people are "safe", and better able to cover the players that aren't.

My first target is the one I'm pretty sure I can hit. Then if successful the second dart goes to the next easiest target and so on. The whole while relocate yourself to somewhere where your subsequent heals are easier.

If you go for the hardest shots first and miss then you will have to wait a second or 2 to recharge to try again, or waste the time moving in with the syringe. This runs the risk of having noone healed during your downtime.

I don't think of a general heal order because there are too many possible scenarios about what can happen, and following a certain "order" that might work sometimes won't work others. It's better to be consistent and just react to the situation with the ultimate goal of keeping your team alive. I always try to have the getting through the wave mindset, so my whole mission as a medic is to keep my team alive and killing as long as possible. Once that is taken care of, my next goal is to keep them all at full health.

I'll copy what I posted in my other topic:

West London. No, seriously.
1. Sharpshooter
2. Sharpshooter
3. Sharpshooter
4. Sharpshooter
5. Sharpshooter

I would like to heal other perks but the only perks I ever see in-game are Sharpshooters.

Jokes aside, my healing list is:

1. Anyone who's screaming for Medic
2. Anyone who's injured

If nobody's injured, I'll go from:
1. Berserker
2. Support Specialist
3. Sharpshooter
4. Commando/Firebug
5. Demolitions Man

1. Frontliners.
Zerkers who actually stay still for the dart, Good Commando, Good Firebugs, Tanking Medics*
*When a non-medic who cannot kill the zed the med is tanking.
-These guys are going to get hurt no matter what you do. Most of the time they are also killing the bulk of the trash zeds and keeping us from getting overrun. If they go down, the rest of us will in short order.

2. Demolitions
-Even the best demos will hurt themselves from time to time. If you don't keep your demo topped off when possible, he has a fairly high chance of killing himself trying to destroy the FP you are tanking. (Especially in a tight camp) Don't be a douche and leave him high and dry.

3. Backline Players.
Welding Support, Sharpshooters, Normal Commandos, Average Firebugs
-These guys are helping. I heal them when I can. However guys in the front take priority. Fortunatly, most of these players also have enough time to self-heal.

4. Bad Players
-If somebody is clearly not doing their job, they get healed last. And told why they aren't getting heals. I'll save them if they are in critical, but otherwise they can rot until they actually help the team.

Haha, I see a TF2 quote! :)

Anyway, the reason why I put Demolitions Man at the last was because they always stay at the back of the group. The rest of the team already covers them and if they don't blow themselves up, they will rarely take much damage(This is based on my own gametime opinion, I've never played Suicidal so feel free to correct me).

Anyway, the reason for my listing:
1. Berserker(Without him, there will be no damage sponge. What happens when there's no damage sponge? You bet'cha, the damage will hit the other guys and we don't want that happening now do we?)

2. Support Specialist(He welds as fast as Tyson Bolt(Or is it Tyson Gay? I don't know), if he falls, so does the weld. And more importantly, we need him for the Fleshie/Scrake knock-out.)

3. Sharpshooter(The Sharpshooter picks off targets from a distance and is essential in taking out Fleshpounds/Scrakes. And as much as I ha- err ..... forget I said that)

4. Commando/Firebug(They're both on the same list because, while not as important as the other three perks, they keep the other three's hands tidy by clearing up all the trash zeds. And not having to multi-task can never be a bad thing.)

As much as I hate to say it, on most Pub servers, I heal MYSELF first. Afterall, if I die, who's gonna be medic? Plus it's easy enough to self-heal with the medgun real fast, then launch heal darts.

I'm under the firm belief that I can't heal very well if I'm dead.

There is no "priority", your syringe recharges so fast, you can randomly hammer it into anything in front of you at max speed which is what you should do.
You're a wound-seeking cruise missile.

Two things:
A) Don't forget that Medics have to heal too, sometimes that leaves us without a charge for a brief time and in that brief moment we could lose a valuable asset.
B) Sometimes I have to manuever between two opposite sides of a hallway unable to see one side while healing the other. I'm not a missle, I'm a Medic.

I try to treat it like real life; I look at the health bars (sometime hit tab if everyone not if view) and heal those with lowest health first. I'm healing all the time.

All things being equal, I focus on the front row of defence, usually the berserkers, then support, commandos, and firebugs. Of course sharpshooters are important to the team in taking out the scrake and FP so I can't forget them, nor the demo who is usually behind me standing on the car/box.

Yes, the ones jumping around frustrate the hell out of me as I usually miss, but I keep trying and level 6 regenerates the syringes fairly quickly. In the meantime I'll take out my hand syringe and quickly heal someone close-by.

One trick, (I use my MP7 almost exclusively so I can pick off the crawlers near the berserker or other threats and still heal): I look around and heal before I reload, then heal again after the reload. This has saved teammates more than once.

Okay you convinced me.
You are not and will never be a missile.
