No medics, but helpful teamates

No medics, but helpful teamates

Medics are a big no no to TWI, as they have said themselves.

However, what if we add a function for all soldiers to be able to drag the bleeding teammates around?

For gameplay reasons, once someone is dragging the bleeding teammate, the bleeding stops for a while. And once he is bandaged by another player, he is back in the game.

So that we won't need medics, but everyone can be a little more helpful to the teammates, encouraging team play, and have "risk you own life to save your friends" moments?

I was wondering actually about medics in RL... in Generation Kill the corpsman fights alongside everyone else. Are there different classes of medics in the military, some non-combatants and some combatants?

The Marine Corps has a higher degree of integration than the Army does, but Navy Corpsmen are still technically non-combatants and are medical personnel first above all... even if they carry M4s and shotguns and help clear rooms with the rest of the unit.

Won't work. I garuntee you anyone trying to drag a dead person to cover will get shot. If you can drag him into cover then there was no need to drag him into cover in the first place. You could of rezzed the guy there. In which case....We have no medics to revive. So whats the point of dragging. You realize bandaging other players and reviving IS what a medic would do as a class right?

Or.... simple thing to do.. make it so you can't bandage yourself, only other people.

The only way this would work is completely ripping the current system out and putting something new in its place. There are many reasons why TWI wouldn't do it even if there was a massive outcry for such.

In some games the medic thing would work, namely Arma2 where you can bleed out for minutes before dying (injury and settings depending) and of which Arma2 is a much slower paced, tactical milsim. I simply cannot see it fitting well in RO2 without some major rewrites and balancing of the game to compensate (current balance complaints not withstanding).

I do like the idea, but currently will be a pipe dream unless some clever sod works some magic with the SDK

Also add a defibrilator !

Lol fail in 1942 when the battle of stalingrad started, in that time defibrilator never used and first time it used to human year was 1947, so in WWII time when some ones heart stopped then it's more like dead.
Defibrilator just makes this game more like BF game.

Medic class will be useless most of time and only way medic is useful just give bandage to infantry because when you are out the bandages.
But when you got hitted you have like 1-5 sec to stop the bleeding, then you just die to bleeding so theres no time to medic bandage others.
If you did notice in RO2 when you get hitted bandage not heals you it just stops bleeding and if you manage survival the hit mostly of time you die with second hit.
