Apologies mods if this is a repeat post..I did a quick search.

I've been a member here since I first heard of the awesomeness that is Red Orchestra... well over a year ago, and the sublime engine the RO devs created from UE2 inspired me and many others to take the awesome gameplay they had created to another campaign...and that campaign was the Afrikafeldzug.

You may or may not have already seen our teaser trailer...if you have downloaded it already you have already had the best version of this teaser in sight and sound, but here is the Gametrailers.com version...please make some positive feedback for us there...not only will it raise the already high status of Red Orchestra further it will hopefully enlighten some new players to the Mare Nostrum modification:

Nice clip!

I have a question about the Bren rear sights: there seem to be 2: drum and leaf? Which Mark version of the Bren is in this one? A quick lookup shows MkI had drum-type rear sights which were dropped in MkII.

In MkII, how were the leaf sights used with the magazine in the way?

Bren en Thompson both animated, Afrikakorps uniforms, a Tobruk map,... very promising. Keep up the good work!

Very nice. You guys better aim for a October 2007 release :p

Working as hard as we can :D

As you can see, the map featured in the video is nearly complete. We have a few more in the works that will hopefully be featured in future trailers, and several more map mock-ups (armor, CA, infantry, of all shapes and sizes depending on demand) sitting on the shelf, just waiting to be dusted off and thrown into action!

Stay tuned...

The MK2 does have a flip up leaf sight, the drum sight as used in the MK1 can be seen in the following images.

The leaf sight of the MK2 can be seen here

The sights for both models are offset so as you hold the Bren you look down the side of the weapon past the magazine. With both sights set a cm or two off the line of the barrel itself but arranged to they converge with the line of fire at the correct range.

Wow. Can't wait to let loose some .45 ACP down range! What about the M1 Garand. Am I gonna be able to pop some 30.06 caps?
