Winter forests -> almost all birds flew southward.
Shooting in the forest -> the rest flyes away.
I mean, have you ever been wandering through a forest in winter?
You hear almost nothing but wind, snow falling from trees and sometimes a bird flying away.

I just adored this sound from RO1. I even asked 1 mapper to export this sound and then i listened to this hours
Birds only call if they think they are safe. So, if you are not moving and it's quiet, yeah. I could maybe see it if you are alone sneaking around the edges of a map.
Also, I like the dynamic birds from RS, you can tell when someone is approaching.
