Well actually they can be in the cookedpc or in the cookedpc\scripts. In both cases the result will be the same. The rational of putting them in cookedpc\scripts is that it doesn't contain stock RO2 .u files and the change of breaking something by overwriting a stock .u file is up to nil. If directly in cookedpc, then i could make a mutator with a .u that already exists. Game over if you extract it.

I also said this:

I don't have a \scripts folder on my client,should i have?
Doesn't that file only get created if you have the SDK installed.

I renamed and moved antilag.u & DynamicRotator.u from the "cache" folder and put them in the "cookedpc" folder on my client machine.....

'Nades and Binocs only... Grain Elevator - a stock map!

Deleted both from the "cookedpc' folder and logged back on the Server - the redirect shot them both back into the cache and all was fine again.

Now, where does that leave us?

Glad someone else has confirmed my findings from earlier, but as for where that leaves us, i have no idea.

If I release my RO Cache Extractor, more people will find themselves with this bug :eek:

EDIT: I will pm Yoshiro to make sure he see's this new info.

Antilag.u is supposed to go in the ROGame/CookedPC folder.
Don't do this. Going by Unreal package behavior, it's supposed to work, but RO2 does not load it properly from that location. Client-side mutator assets only work properly in the current version of the game when they're loaded from the cache...and, as we see with Provkhoy, sometimes not even then.

Leave it in the cache, cookedpc folder or cookedpc\scripts?

I assume TWI will fix it at some point, but for now, any mutator with client-side assets needs to be left in the cache.

I don't know what you people are talking about? lol.:D But i have all these problems without any mutators on my server :(. anything after Ogledow and Butovo don't work correctly on my server.

The server can (slowly) send files to clients without a redirect, but yes, the only way for a mutator to be properly installed on a client right now is to let the game download it when connecting to a server the mutator is active on.

The Antilag.u is very strange for me. I clear my cache every day so I can test the redirect. Everything else comes down fine off the redirect except Antilag.u. I have to download the version off the server and upload it again to the redirect. Then it comes down nice and quick. Jump ahead to the next day, same again and around we go. Very strange. I am the only person with access to the server/ftp and redirect. I know the version of this file on both servers is exactly the same....lol

The b2 keeps crashing for me.
First time it loaded it worked, but then I saw green vertical lines on the ground and a black circle around where I walked. There were other real people on the server.

It crashed in about 10 seconds from there. Now it's an instant crash when it loads. All the other custom (and official) maps work fine though.

well if I want to be honest, nothing :)

But I might go back to this and improve it more if there is any interest.
I learned a lot of things since then and it might be a good thing to go back to this.

Maybe I'll make a totally new map as well, I don't know

Has it been re-cooked though so it can be put on servers?
