We have no mutators or anything out of ordinary except custom maps and don't seem to appear to be doing anything different than anyone else other than the fact I have a Game Server.

Is anything you add to the ROGame.ini causing this issue. I add all maps to it the same way to show up in WebAdmin, like this, maybe too much or something not quite right?

I also had a crash issue when trying to join the RGN server after redirect. It happened a second time too. I sent the error report.

Not sure what the errors are due to. But could be possible corrupted file when downloaded and overwritten when added to the server?
When I added your updated map, I removed all files from the previous version plus the map. Installed the new map files and Coldsteel, downloads and runs with no issues what so ever.

The error messages i posted, are REDIRECT errors i got when the game crashed while downloading the files from my redirect.
They have nothing to do with the server files.

Yes I had a game crash when just uploading everything to server then re-downloading the map to my PC from first version to beta 2.

It would crash game not server and send error report to TWI every single time I would get into the game with the map up.

To fix the crash issue I simply deleted all my local Contentcache and then re-joined the server and re-downloaded everything and the crashes were gone. The server never crashed just the game locally on my machine. Removing Cached files fixed the issue.

Now as far as having radios on the map and what not, still have no idea as to that one and why works on some servers but not others - a very strange one indeed.

Drecks I was wondering if maybe the thing is that all your content is separate files? I don't know anything about making maps in any UT so I'm not trying to stir the pot or be a back seat mapper, but all the other Custom maps everything is within the map file and a props file.

Is there a way once you cook everything that it's just added as a single upk map file and a single props_coldsteel file? Some of the other customs have put out .INT files but those I've been just putting on the server in the Localization folder and not in the redirect.

Only UPK files are going into my redirect folder (Maps and otherwise). You have to rename all .ROE to .UPK for those not familiar with redirect.

No the custom content can come in seperate files. Thats the way to go.
There are servers where it works as it should. I just downloaded all the Coldsteel_b2 files from the TOGA testserver redirect and joined. All works fine.

We need one of the working servers to give a step by step of how they are setting up their server might help those not working?

I upload to server the server files to rogame\cookedpcserver folder all in .upk format

I upload to server the .INT files to rogame\localization folder

Game Servers does everything different and has a rogame\redirectfiles folder where I upload all Client content files changing map file name from .ROE to .UPK, props*.upk and env*.upk and so then all files within this location are .upk files only. .INT files are not added nor are .ini files that some custom content folks have included.

I then add what I've posted in this thread for how I add the maps to show up in Webadmin (YES Major that was a TYPO) and all maps work fine as far as redirect, gameplay, and I think the captures and other items that must use the .int file work properly, not totally sure, but only the one map where only the radios do not show up all other things show up on the map such as Arty placement, Cap Zones, Supply depots and teammates etc.

I have to confess and its not nice but at this moment I'm loosing interest in all of this. Wasted way to much time already and at some points one have to throw the towell.

I tried that after the first time,and each of the other 3 times after that, but it still crashed,although each time i managed to download more before it crashed. In fact i found out that the cache file was read only so i changed that to read/write, but it made no difference

Edit: just checked the cache file and its been reset to read only, i wonder if that's a problem?

Mine didn't actually crash during the download at all. It crashed after the download and would try to load it up. It then crashed the game every single time from that point on when trying to just enter it.

The deletion of every thing in the cache folder even the .ini - I mean everything was when I could finally download and get into the game without issue.

Drecks it's too bad you feel that way because the map itself is great and I don't really care if it ever even had arty or radio's. It to me will play better or fine anyway as it is without those things.

Maps and Artys appear to be working ok

Is TOGA running the latest version ?

I like things about this map (its my favourite custom at the moment).. It feels open despite being industrial. It has lots of routes and the use of custom materials makes it feel a little less generic than other custom maps. Arad betas grass would be ideal on here..

Bots still seem to spawn and come out in a line to be shot when its the soviets last cap defence...

Dont know if its just me but I feel this map is crying out for a deluge of rain to give it more atmosphere.. Not sure if the sunny afternoon look really suits it..

It would be a shame to give up on a nicely laid out map like this. I must admit though I had loads of bugs.
Mostly small ones like glitching through some walls, not being able to mantle most of the windows or set up mg either.
One main bug I had was no spawn was appearing when I died so unless we had a squad leader we couldn't spawn.This was mostly on the first two caps as axis.
Also a couple of caps had the allies spawn so close to them it was almost impossible to cap for the german team.
One other minor weird bit was the german original spawn (1) was still showing on later caps which would have meant an epic run to get to the capzone.
We were playing with about 10 players a side and a few bots

Hope you keep at it mate.

Edit : I now understand some of these issues are server side and not map issues

Just mentioning that there is a non-solid wall around G6 that you can walk thru. I will try to pinpoint it down if I can get back in the server!
