There are players CD files in server files link.

Solved.

Thats what I ment..... Uploaded a buch of files to Steam workhop and a bunch to mediafire. NASA just called me iff I could lend them some bandwidth as they ran out getting all media downloaded from that Curiosity thing on Mars....

I cant get both versions working after last update of download links.
Should ENV_coldsteel_factory be only 18 kb for the server?

As far as I know it must be working. I seen it up at the RGN server and joined to check it out. Did not seen it anywhere else. TE and CD make use of the same package (ENV_coldsteel_factory)

But off course I can't guarantee anything as its Coldsteel the Mother of all Bug revealing maps. Maybe another server admin
can confirm as like many other things I have no clue on serversettings.

Haha,now you have a taste of what server admins have to go through with EVERY custom map they choose to use, download the server and player files,then upload those same files to the game server and the redirect, welcome to the bandwidth clan.
Oh and did i mention that we have to go through it all again whenever a map is updated...lol

Server ENV file is only 18 kb.
Player ENV file is over 36 mb
Drecks, is that correct?
After installing your latest files on the server and redirect Im getting message about incorrect version.

I'm guessing that you didn't have to DL the map.
Map runs on the server but client files downloaded from redirect cause error.
At least in my case.
I downloaded files from your link 3 or more times.

I have only one set of files up. Do you have old files wandering around somewhere.
Can anyone else join that server and check. This map has caused me more grey hair then
my wife and thats not good.

I checked the map on a locked server.
I have no workshop version in my files so my source was our redirect.
It runs just fine?
Are you sure you have removed all of the old version from your servers and redirect?

Downloaded the files once again then installed on the game servers and uploaded to redirect. Both CD and TE are working fine finally :).
Funny part is I did exactly what I did many times before. I'm guessing that Coldsteel map decides if it wants to be played on server or not ;)

I also had issues with it. Didn't do anything different the 3457th time I re uploaded everything and it just worked.

I also had issues with previous versions for no reason at all. It would just start working. Wierd.

Map is awesome though, still love it.:)

Funny how a number of people have problems getting the map run and the same number don't have problems to get it started. I'm convinced I really will miss these "I have problems with this map" posts in the future.

Using the redirect works no probs.

If i personally use the workshop I get an ambiguous package message with the ENV_ file.

You need to decide which way you are going to get the map,if you use both you will get these package messages,you should remove the ENV_file from your cache if you use the Workshop.

But I did try either one way OR the other.

Workshop way didn't work for me originally.

And for no reason at all, its working now. Played the map yesterday using the workshop download.

Others in our group have had the same set of circumstances.

Map played great though.

Hi Drecks,

I did say this to you "in person", but i`d like to congratulate you on your map. I have to say it is my favourite of all the maps out there.

I like the industrial setting, the non-linear way the map moves and the fact that it is quite challenging.

Only minor quibbles (from talking with others) are that the German spawn is quite far away once B is taken, but i guess that maybe encourage more caution with your life! Also (and i have to admit that i know little about level creation) perhaps the map benefits from more German reinforcements or longer time?

Great work though!

Thanks for the thumbs up. I like maps who are challinging and where people have to think. As battleifield sometimes move into different directions I'm not into that lineair stuff.

About the German spawn after capping B. You spawn close to the objective you just capped, while it still open to defend. In realism mode it ain't that far to to cap C. Eventually people will learn that as Axis they just need to push forward for C. Allies will spawn further back by now and they need to pinn them down at C. But as seen often. Axis start to defend B instead of keep the momentum and attack C.

I hope the map will see some more playtime as I don't see it that much.
