Ive never seen it on Barashka,but yes it definitely started happening after the last patch.
I see it consistantly with my Firepro 3900 CAD card on any tank map, but never with my nVidia GTX295. It may be an AMD thing, or not... and yea, with the firepro, there's no water either.
I just tried out both maps on an older machine with an nVidia card and can confirm that it does seem to be an ATI problem as their is no black smoke with the nVidia (up until the game crashed that is)
Mhh is there a list of servers that host this ? I have read that its on the TAT server but my ping might be abysmal trying to play there. Tho iam kind of "sick" of arad, it whould be nice to play more with the new tanksystem 
There isn't a working version out there at the moment. I'm working on few changes, mostly cosmetics. I'll have something in the next few days.

Trust me it will be worth the wait. You'll love the make-over the map is going through. The environment looks more natural.

Yes indeed. We'll run Arrad, Yakovlevo, and Gumrak 24/7 on No#4. Any other tank maps which may be created going forward will find their way there as well.
Good tank maps like Arrad are precious. We want to make sure tank maps are available for those that like armor.

I dunno. Give the =TaT= tank server a try. Some of the BOH guys from Germany play with us from time to time and their ping is reported to be pretty satisfactory. See what you think.
