I recently played Basovka with a buddy of mine on a public server, and all the germans were holding back way too much, moving slowly, crawling towards the AT Gun position. They never made it.
So what we did was to mount bajonets and charge into the trench, strafing left and right to avoid the bolt action players from the red team. We both got in okay, stabbed a bolt guy, and then proceeded to clear the trench section - until a friendly nade got both of us.
The german team never took the first trench because everyone else was holding back too much.
In general I found that most people do not react well to a rifleman sprinting towards them with blank steel ready to poke. I think people need to play more agressive.
Personally I've killed PPsH gunners with the bajo, I've run trough artillery barrages, I've jumped into trenches and shot three guys with an automatic before they could react.
Nothing is more boring than a team full of riflemen who camp while being on the attack - and it's not going to win the map.
