This seems to be posted time and time again, so I thought I would make an alternative proposition that would be easy to code in and as simple as possible, rather than the confusion of having 2 different types of pipes.

When using a grenade launcher, if the projectile doesn't explode on impact it will just fall through the world into the infinite void of the twilight zone, right? However, the explosive charge should still be there even if the primer isn't, so why not have them stay in the world and still be able to be detonated by an explosion, similar to hand grenades (with regular 40mm damage). This way the Demon can quickly set grenade traps and then detonate them like thrown nades. Seems like a well enough balance for me, but I wouldn't have posted if I didn't want your opinions.
