Make a chat log please!

Hello!

I've been playing the game for a bit now. And I've found one thing that's really starting to get on my nerves.
There is no chat log!

You guys, really need to get one implemented fast, please!

I've been talking to guys, and when we have a conversation, and there's 3 in on it, then someone random write, "OH NO I DIES!" I don't get to read what that first one wrote. Because it get bumped up and out of the chat area.

So please, please implement a chat log, with at least 30 lines, so we can scroll and read!

Please note, that this isn't about a chat after the match has ended.

Chat log is visible in the console. On my fin/swe keyboard the button is

Yes, there are a console / chat log.
But I would've liked to have something that's dedicated to a chat log
So that I don't have to check the console for what ppl wrote.

Sod the chat log, I want to be able to close chat with ESC and change the console key to anything but ' - it's so annoying for people who actually like to construct proper sentences when they chat, and so ' is required.

The problem being that ` or ~ opens a console of everything, in which the chat is often mixed up amongst messages of: Picked up x or a whole list of "Cannot stand up here" while I ask for advice (and the answers gone before I could read the first word)

something like in the valve games or whatever, where you press the talk key and it shows a little box where you can scroll and what not

Just open the console, it will show player messages as well as game messages.

What happens when you're in a tank and the buffer of messages gets wiped every few seconds by FORWARDS, LEFT, RIGHT spam?

We need a chatbox, as simple as that.
