So wait the games did run worse but that doesn't count as the game running worse?
Of course it does, it just doesn't mean that the operating system automatically runs all software with 10-20% overhead.
Particularly considering that OSX actually has less system requirements in order to run the OS:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3759
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/system-requirements
I can feeling the Mac fanboy rage starting to boil but hear me out. I' not trying to start a debate on what OS is better because all I'm saying is that most games are going to run better on windows. Sure if the games where optimized it could run about the same but they haven't been.
lol
I've never owned an Apple product in my entire life, and that includes an iPod
I would never in my lifetime purchase an Apple product
I just don't think that a single piece of software running poorly on OSX means its
OSX's fault.
This is the same thing as the counsel ports to pc that run like poop.
Herpaderpadoo, of course it is, that's my point. Why do you think those console ports run like crap on PC?
A) because they're ported to PC from a different system on which they were optimized
B) they weren't optimized well for Windows, or the hardware for that matter
Exactly the same situation with these OSX game benchmarks you're referring to, and exactly the reason I said they don't mean OSX automatically runs games worse. First of all, they're ports from Windows.
So I guess you're gonna go out and buy an Xbox and an iPad because they're automatically easier to optimize due to being closed platforms, right?
