Since the post-Christmas update, Killing Floor has become very annoying to play. There are a lot more freezes which last a lot longer, usually ending up getting me killed. Yesterday I had an issue where it froze during the Patriarch match long enough that the server even changed levels and I was stuck staring at the Patriarch's ugly face. I remoted into my iMac to find killingfloor was stuck, windowserver was stuck, loginwindow was zombie, and even kernel was stuck. spinlockd, Problem Report, and CrashReporter were running but in a "waiting" state, waiting for killingfloor to crash, which it wasn't. After issuing the reboot command, it took 15 minutes for the system to even get to the point where desktop services are terminated, and another 10 minutes for login services to close (which results in the remote session being terminated). About 5 minutes after that, I finally heard the Mac chime. That whole time, the same Killing Floor image was painted on the screen, like the system couldn't release the video subsystem to show the blank shutdown screen.
