M4 203 vs M4

As many of you know, when your using the Commando perk with the M4 203, you get the bonus clip size and recoil reduction, but when using the M4 203 I felt it was weaker in damage, so I set up a test. I shot a clot with a single bullet with both the M4 and M4 203. The results are as below

The clot on the right was shot with the M4 203 and the one on the left was shot with the M4. Reading over some topic's in the forum a lot of people say there is a MinDamage and a MaxDamage, but that damage dealt is always MaxDamage, but there has been controversy. If some one could clear that up, that would be great.

Only MaxDamage is dealt.
Guns always deal the same amount of damage.
The M4 203 does NOT receive a damage bonus from the commando.

Thanks for the confirmation, it's a bit misleading that it would get a bonus for everything BUT damage. Is it a bug that's going to be fixed or is it meant to be that way.

Honestly I'm not sure. I know that the M4 203 doesn't level the commando at all, so it's possible that the clip bonus is actually a bug too. (Are you sure it gets the recoil bonus? I haven't compared the recoil side by side personally).

I haven't compared it, but the M4 203 with Demolition perk has massive recoil, it is definatly reduced with the Commando perk.

m4 is a commando weapon.

m4 with nade launcher is a demo weapon.

you can share bonuses that work for ALL perks but not bonuses that are specific to weapons/class.

just dont use m4 203 with commando and dont use m4 with demo.

Leave it to Tripwire to allow the scrubs to get confused over something stupid like this because they didn't come up with a gun for Demolitions in the Winter Weapon update.

On Topic:
The M4 203 does not count inside the Commando perk as it's built for the Demolition perk. Damage seems different because there is no damage bonus to the M4 203 but the reduced recoil etc is only there because they are made from one and other. The M4 203 litrally uses the M4 code files which might be why you get the recoil reduction on it. There is no bug apart from why Commando effects the recoil for the M4 203.
