the M12 Trench gun is a great gun.
When i first used it i thought it was a bit crap, so i switched over.
Then i went back and i love it.
On Defence as a SL siting just behind or in the objective acting as a spawn point it is good to have as enemy approach rather than on the attack. (ie: when they break through and you are waiting for your squad to spawn on you in an objective or and over run objective.)
One blast and death. I find it is really good for letting them come to you, rather than an offensive weapon. It is a bit short ranged for the attack (unless you can sneek in and wreck havok.) I already got the KaPow acheivemnt..kill 12 enemy in a single round with the M12.
I read a bit about them, supposobly in Korea they where highly regarded weapon to have about, and even today the US still use them in Iraq.
If you skill up the engineer he gets access to it too if you are not keen on being a SL.
