Haha mby u'r right, but its like with books, there are genre u love and genre that u just dont read, u'r not interested in it even if u know that there are many good titles in it. Same is with me and shooters like RO2, even if it would be game of the centoury i would not play it couse im not interested with this kind of genre. I play only modern and near future time shooters, WWII is not something for me (mby if its something hilarious like Dino D Day

I didn't really like the futuristic theme in anything until I got into Warhammer 40k. Warhammer 40k is something else... even if its in future, its still has flavour of the fantasy. Warhammer 40k Spacemarine is another game i wanna play.

Trouble is though, pretty much every WW2 shooter that is made is always the Americans vs Germans in Normandy every single time in a fairly linear sort of shoot-em-up. RO is set on the eastern front fighting between Russians and Germans with a totally different take on gameplay in comparision to all those other WW2 shooters and a lot of people who dislike WW2 games played RO and loved it. But if it's still not your bag, fair enough. :IS2: It's not meant for everyone!
But still, there are mods in development for it... like the Vietnam war mod, and the Warhammer 40,000 mod headed by me (fortheloveofgod,weneedsomehelp).

All I'm gonna say is RO recieved updates for a very long time. 5 years I think.

They are in the middle of a beta, and once RO is in retail and they've made sure there isn't any emergencies popping up that require patching I'm sure they will task a few guys to give Killing Floor a little something.

I'm tired of WWII games too.
I like a mix of modern day/not to distant future and scifi, such as half-life (the original, not HL 2), Crysis, Doom, Metro 2033, Singularity, STALKER, and KF.
I feel that a Devs creativity is severly limited when it comes to WWII, and veitnam for that matter, and in the end, they all sort of blur into the same thing, but thats just me.
I tried RO 2 and could see that TWI put a lot of thought and effort into it, but it was not for me, in the end it all comes down to personal preference .
For those that do like WWII and RO 2, I am happy for you that you have a good game. In this day and age of companies releasing crap after crap it's always nice to get something that lives up to your expectations. I hope it brings you many, many hours of enjoyment, just as KF has for me.

It's like i would be against EA Games becouse they make sport games (hete it) and racing games (hate it even more), Games Workshop becouse they do Warhemmar played with figures, and i like only role play version, or Coca-cola comapny becouse they make Fanta and i dont like fanta
