Also, the dynamite looks like it has an ATI Rage ancient graphics card attached to it :p

Yeah sure, lets replace grenades with rocks and melee weapons with wooden stick!

Actually Id rather see rocks and sticks than a minigun. In fact I think it would be quite funny.

And ok, maybe I was a little too negative earlier, but I really hope you guys can balance these weapons out so you cant have like 6 minigunners and own suicidal.

I hate it when people cant come up with anything else than miniguns and other high power weaponary. Those will not work in KF unless you make them either cost ridiculous amounts of money or give them ****loads of disadvantages. Other than that, theyll just make them game even easier than its now.

Id like to see more unique lower tier weapons instead.

Really nice.

The dynamite with the tape around it is just awesome, really fits the "second wave of survivors" stuff. We live because we were clever enough to survive. Great theme.

I would concur with Kingjoker that there should be far less remote detonated mines available than regular pipebombs.

Just one question about the dragunov: you said it would have the x8 scope for "huge-distance-snipering(TM)" AND replace the crossbow on small maps.
How does it work? Just by hipshooting or will the scope be adjustable, or will it have a dramatically increased rate of fire over the Xbow?
No flaming, just curious:confused:

All these are very good questions, and I hope I can adequately answer them in time.
For now I don't think I can as it hasn't all been made/decided yet, but I thank you for your feedback on what we've got so far.

We will try to balance things, for now I can adjust the original post with this:

The Minigun will have 1 magazine of 1000 rounds. It will fire at maybe 1/3rd the speed of the real (max) speed of the M134, but in many ways be more like the M234. The firing rate is currently set to 0.03 (33 rounds/sec), the damage range is at 5-15 (Bullpup has in comparison ~15-25) and it is now weighing 15, which means most classes won't be able to pick it up, as they have a total capacity of 15 - 1 (14 available)

I've run into some minor issue with the sticky effect on the dynamite, so the first version will most likely not be sticky. (And rather drop to the ground). But it will cost alot (TBA) and have 1 ammo default, with a demo perk modifier at 0.75 each level. This means level 6 demo can at most buy 5 of these. (1 + ammo purchases)

The dragunov is very much TBA, i've yet to start work on the code for this gun

Ok, don't feel the need to decide too early on what the dragunov is gonna be like.

I just think at some point you might want to consider wether its gonna be some kind of indoor-sniper rifle or the really big stuff to bring in case of Zeds being a good distance away.

just my 2 cents...

You should try the minigun from Ballistic Weapons. It was ported over to KFMod some time ago. Quite well balanced too. Chewed through zeds like a mofo, yet it had just the right amount of recoil. Plus it overheated (i think) if the gun was constantly spinning. Was great for small zeds, but the bigger zeds still took some pounding, plus ammo was scarce.

Yes you remember me of the good old times :)!! Ballistic Weapons + Killing floor was a funny thing.
Actually a well balanced minigun might even be less effective then the M14. Shure it has to have some recoil, ammo has to run out quick and it has to be weak against the big ones, as Gregs said.
