Can someone provide me with a download link to the original ROM? I lost it when I had to reinstall everything, and many of my server regulars have requested it.

so they dont want to play the whitelisted version... they want to play the version with exploits, and they are requesting it all the time?

hmmmmmmm... well, they cant be requesting it for perking reasons.. colonel, im sorry to tell you this... but your server is becoming a place for social networking... a chat room if you will... sounds fishy...

Or it could be that it's the FUN version, and people want to play the version that is FUN.

y'know, just a thought.

Also I have yet to find any exploits in it, unless you count camping the top of the staircase where the pathing sucks miserably, which, as you know, is still in the whitelist version (and annoying as hell to see everyone doing).

It's not a whitelist server anyway, runs 24-players most of the time.

ok lets dissect this:

1 version has exploit fixes. and you can perk on it. they dont like this version.

the other version has exploits, and no perking anymore. they want this version.

somethings afoot at the OK Corral.

it's not that they want the exploits, they just want to play the easy one

frankly, there's nothing wrong with that. some people like weapon filled camping rooms, they just can't level if they want to use them. fair trade.

As I said above, it's a 24-player server. You can't perk on it _anyway_ so why should they care if the map is whitelist or not?

v5 is fun for a lot of players. It has a lot of fun features that were removed in the new whitelist version. Nobody on my server wants to play the whitelist version, because after you remove all the fun features, all that's left is a large but generally unremarkable map, with serious zed pathing issues that results in everyone camping on the roof. That gets boring really fast.

alright i can see your point. i totally forgot about the weapons room it had as i never played the map more than a couple times (did not like it).

I wouldn't call a small room full of ammo a 'fun feature'.

Thats the latest version before the fixed one.

Noobs want it easy, and thats what v5 provides lol. Im putting my money on the room full of weapons too.. Cant think of any other reason, I dont know why would anyone even want to exploit without the ability to level up, that would be even sadder than doing it WITH leveling up..

exactly. which is why all those noobs playing the maps with the weapon rooms all stop playing after a month or so out of boredom.

kind of like playing Cod4. you can either choose to go onto the lame run&gun gayness servers where everyone is just noob tube spamming or you can play on the tactical servers which are actually difficult and fun. having fun with a game is a matter of choice.

The only thing I removed from Police Station is the room full of weapons, as far as I remember, otherwise it was just fixing exploits. So it must be this whats attracting them, lol.

And like Omar said, these type of players will just bore themselves to death because they basically have everything in a day, which is fun that first week and then they just quit because there is nothing to achieve..
