Hello, I know that TWI is looking into the problem. But I'm having horrible performance issues. And in the meantime (before the fix) I would like to enjoy the game to it's fullest. I am using a GTX 470, a more than capable GPU for the game, but like many others, I am having poor/uneven frame rates.

Here's the problem. I'm paranoid about my PC's Temperature/Performance, but I ponder about Overclocking my GPU without sustaining damage due to heat. If there is anybody else out there with an overclocked 470, what Programs do you use, and what do you recommend to tweak? I've already tried Msi Afterburner and played with the settings some, but wasn't sure that I knew what I was doing, so I set it to default. I don't have the money to replace my card if something happens to it. So any help would be much appreciated

Well, the solution may not be as simple as overclocking your card. As of right now, the current build has many performance issues - as you've already noticed. I have run the game on several different resolutions, graphics settings, FOV settings, and overclock settings. You need to specify what kind of frame rates are "horrible" and what resolution/settings you're using. Also, have you checked the actual temperature of your card?

Dont sweat it to CO the card,I got 2 6870's and tried with both and single card and problems are still there, dont OC for no reason.

I iven downclocked my 1090T x6 from 4.0ghz to 3.6ghz and turbo core set to 4.0ghz....I see no reason iven for the CPU to be beastly OCed

The game doesn't ever use past 85% of my overclocked 4601gb 825mhz. Other games do. There must be some more optimization to be had.

Overclocking only provides modest framerate improvements in my experience, perhaps 20% increase maximum. So basically, if your performance is already horrible it will only make it slightly less horrible, it won't make it playable. I'd wait for a fix from the developers or look into software issues or conflicts that might be causing it.

edit: To be clear I'm not saying don't ever overclock, I'm just saying it's not really useful in this specific situation.

Pretty hard to damage your video card over clocking at stock voltage, if it gets too hot it'll just power itself off. the only way you can really damage it is adjusting the voltage to the GPU.
