Loving killing floor

Just bought this on steam perhaps a week ago or so. And I'm loving it! Just the perfect game I'm craving for. No bull****, no nonsense, just kill and level up. I've preordered the ball aswell. I'm excited to get it when it's released.

Got couple of questions/suggestions tho. Why is it not possible to level up when steam is on offline mode? Not everybody has 24/7 connection up and running. Is this some kind of cheating prevention or something?

Plz support deathmatch play officially, and integrate into this game, come on. Basic deathmatch at least or you can release it as DLC or something. And players can level up playing deathmatch games. I'm not asking for complex gameplay, but instead just plain deathmatch. It is obligatory on FPS games, to at least have a deathmatch game mode in it. I stumbled into couple of mods, but they're mods and I don't think you can level up in that mods.

How about some cosmetic upgrade on the interfaces. I agreed on Gamespot critics, it still looks like a mod. Nothing critical but guess this kind of things, presentations, does make differences to alot of people specially those who's currently considering to buy the game.

A guy saw me fire up this game and he asked me "what game is this?" "killing floor" "looks like crappy and cheap game" and I wasn't even got into the waves yet. Just on the main menu. lol.

And you want PvP shooting deathmatch and level up perks on it? Hell no, Killing Floor is a co-op survival horror game and I see no reason to include a deathmatch gamemode whatsoever. If you want Deathmatch, go play another game. There's hundreds of them out there that have deathmatch.

It's because stats are stored online.

Just...no. KF != PvP gameplay and it never will.

I remember when a friend was AFK and we protected him. It's like we actually had an objective, and something to defend with our virtual lives. If any mode is going to be made into KF, it'd have to be something like Protect the VIP.

EDIT: Wait, no, what about the ZEDs? It doesn't have to be wave survival, it could be time survival! There needs to be a system that prevents the players making the VIP invincible... Failing that, what about protecting a certain area or object that can't be repaired?

Already done. That's what KF is after all. Camping and shooting all what moves.

Heh ye mate, thats one thing thats bloody challenging, having to protect a friend when he is going AFK just when your on the FP wave and everything is coming towards YOU

I have a copy of CS:S

And it's "team deathmatch", with twist like "rescue the hostage" or "defuse the bomb". And "realism"? That sucks. Games should be fun, not realistic. Oh FYI I sucks at CSS lol.

Now imagine, how about gameplay sort of like UT but with modern day weapons. That's how KF would turn out to be in my head with deathmatch.

That's how most people's perspective work. You don't serve them with good presentation they won't interested.

Why not? The code is there already. Every FPS got the deathmatch mode.

I'm thinking with KF weapons the deathmatch would be soo awesome.

oh yeah how about this? just apply last man standing, the guy who's survived gets to the store.

Everyone will hunt him/her down for his/her weapons and compete for the last man standing position to get to the store.

that sounds awesome isn't it?

is it me or you're just started doing personal attacks and trolling over your lack of arguments of why KF shouldn't have DM? just like S***ers do when he suddenly accusing me of having illegal version of KF.

You bought the game, I bought the game. We both have the same rights to post ideas on KF to the team. Some people here probably don't own KF.

And as for your paranoia over competitive gameplay on KF, I really have no clue, but it's your right to be paranoid anyway.

I promissed not commenting more on this forum for some time. But I just have to now. NO I am not trolling. I didn't call you names, I didn't insult you. I just stated out my opinion. If you didn't get it, then let me explain it better:
Deathmatch takes some space from my PC. I don't even have a 1 GB free on my disc. The KF Ballance update may already be hard for my disc. MUTATORS are made just to download and play them if you like them. You can make them. BUT implementing something to game so EVERYONE has regardless to if uses them or not - is really problem for some people. Same problem was with left 4 dead 2 - some people uninstalled left 4 dead 2 as after uptades such as "Mutation" modes and "Realism Versus" really took a lot of space. So did, well, FREE - DLCs. After all of those the game takes around 4 GB more from Disc. What if someone doesn't need the 4 GB for L4D2 cuz already enjoys other gametypes and doesn't like the new content? That's the point. If you want DM - fine. Make a mutator or download ready one. But DON'T suggest implementing it in game as GAME MODE Expecting my answer to be "great idea". It isn't trolling. This is an opinion.

I gave more reasons before, and I don't want to repeat them. I just added one of many reasons why. And damn, now it's 2nd post I had to give here... Seriously, this time this is the last one. Next one might be... in... IDK how long time, but I'll just wait over the times of trolls, haters and phantoms crawling around the forums. So, c ya guys. And yeah, actually space on my PC is really important for me. Just MY opinion and arguments. You don't have to agree, just don't try to convince me. I accept your opinion, I dun mind any mode, really, unless it's going to be added for everyone. Downloading Mutators is already fine for now. No need to implement something for all players. Basta.
