Basically, Yoshiro goes on vacation and the community has a meltdown

Funny thing is, if he hadn't said that, reaction probably wouldn't have been intense (I mean, you'll have the usual complainers every week).

If they finally have a new WWAUT tomorrow...they're basically adhering to their rough timetable of having an info update every two weeks. Yoshiro's vacation doesn't affect this.

Not to mention OP, from what I have seen of real game testers, it isn't nearly as fun as it sounds. Imagine playing an EVEN MORE broken, unfinished game like ACU all day long, cataloging and fighting with bugs and unfinished levels, having to play the same boring escort mission 100 times over. Sounds like hell to me.

Pffft, trust me man, it's even more fun then that with a game that is not even that finished.

Two words: Alpha Testing. Have fun trying to shoot the man that is using a glitched out and finicky jetpack that is glowing in the wrong places while your gun made of grey "no texture" blocks freaks out and doesn't shoot straight no matter how hard you try and aim all on the backdrop of grey map made of grey cubes while hoping the game doesn't throw a fit and kick you to the lobby but oh no, you found a hole in the map and are no falling forever. Don't worry though, they game just ended and you won...no, you didn't because the game decided that the other team met the victory condition even though you got 3 times the kills as them and completed all the objectives before the time ran out.

At that point you make a game if you know the people you are testing with of how many bugs you can stumble on in a Week/Day/Hour.

Except, you're not actually thinking things through.

I dont even know what you are talking about.
What if the teleport is NOT a temp fix, and they think that it's an okay thing? That's not to say that they won't acknowledge that some people don't like it. But what if they don't know if they'll change it or not. They can't see it's here to stay, because, well they may change their minds to change it during EA. Frankly, even if they've already decided to change it, maybe they're not even thinking about what to replace it with at the moment, because it's so early, and they're still examining the data to see exactly how the teleportation is affecting player movements, death, strategies, etc (or whatever they're looking at).

What the hell... I am just giving an example of what COMMUNICATION looks like. They can say, its too early to judge if teleporting is bad. Or a simple "GET OVER IT" is an actual feedback on what the dev is thinking. Not like what we have now, NOTHING. You said it yourself, "what if...." if we know if teleporting is intended or not we will be discussing how to make it better OR what to replace teleporting, not arguing if teleporting is intended.

Given the above scenario, they couldn't possibly say what you want them to say. But okay, yours was just a hypothetical. Of course, But what can they say other than...we acknowledge that some people don't like the teleportation, and we're currently examining data on it.

Now, you can't tell me that that you would want that because it's no different than if they just posted "we are working" in every single thread. Because that message says nothing.

NOPE. Huge difference. We will know that is intended gameplay, not somthing who everyone think is a bad way to fix something they want to fix (again we dont even know what they want to fix because we have NOTHING from them). Maybe they will add magic into the game, who knows, so teleporting make sense. But again, we have NOTHING, how are we suppose to give proper feedback if we dont even know if something is intended or not.

lol there you go. It's not that you want information. You just want them to confirm stuff that you want in the game. (I don't even expect there to be more than two abilities per tier.) What if all they plan to have is 2 tiers. Again maybe they'll consider more, so they can't confirm that this is it. (And on the flipside, what if they really don't have no plans to have more than 2 abilities per tier...do they need to say...this is all we plan to have? Do they need to say that about every facet of the game other than maps, weapons, and perks? You don't even realize what you're demanding.)

Again, that was just an example, you just think that I am forcing the dev to do what I want, which I am not, I am only trying to get some direction from them, so finally we can discuss, not wasting time on 100 posts on how to make teleport better than they remove teleporting. May be the perks are just rushed out because they are not as important, may be they do intend to have a more complicated perk tree, again, we have nothing, and yet they want feedbacks.... about what? We know noting...

Grow up. Maybe because those are the most complicated. Or maybe cause those are the most annoying. Since these big ticket issues are...well...lol let's leave that for their respective threads.

If you, as a "grown up" thinks that growing up means accepting everything without questioning, then I am willing to stay at my "non-grown up state".

I see the Q and A team was on break from 5-02-2015 to 5-18-2015, apparently my self centered arrogant post had the desired effect I wanted. you all can thank me now. :)

Seriously why do people buy an Early Access game and expect a major content update every week? Or act so entitled in general? It's not like they didn't see all the disclaimers about the games [/i]NOT BEING FINISHED YET[/i] beforehand.

Do they just not understand how much time is required to make game content? Tripwire staff can't just drag and drop a .jpg of a rifle onto KillingFloor2.exe and 'poof' have the Sharpshooter class in the game, or whatever.

Not to mention the numerous patches for bug fixes and such should have been an indication that they've been hard at work doing that..

Early Access clearly is NOT for everyone, and the more impatient people need to learn that.

You should be lucky they didn't decide to out and out ban your *** from the first post alone and be happy with that.

Most of us here is NOT asking for game patches every week or even month. Everyone is just asking for better communication, interaction, etc, from the dev. People get mad because we waste a lot of time discussing things that wont even matter at the end, (see my post above). And yet still zero general approach/direction/opinion/anything from dev. "There will be new maps, new perks, and bug fixes in the next patch" is what we get. Who doesnt know that??? .... If you count this as communicating.... I actually dont see the point of EA.

Tired testers.
That is what you see here.

pRMnhTs.png

I wonder what they are up to? Headsets still on at 5:30.

BTW, did we say we'd let you know what we're working on every two weeks?
When was the last post about that?

Well, back to work...

I created this account in a fury because that is a disgrace! An Assasin's Creed Black Flag-flag?
I assume the testers "decorated" their working-hole themselves, and I also assume that they will be punished for this. If so, I wish to suggest whipping while forcing them to read through a selection of the most obnoxious posts on the forums. If you go for another form of punishment I request that you provide pictures as evidence!

Seriously though, keep up the good work. Looking forward to news and new content, whenever it comes!

Trust me, even they don't do content update, if they do just bug fixes every two weeks this thread won't even exist.

EA is an iterative process, if you can't bring real beef on the table at least show you have goodwill. I pay 30 for prison architect, even the game gets annoying by the month at least they hold their end of bargin by put out regular updates and communication. TWI is way behind than most EA studio now.

People are brainwashed by all the ****ty EA games out there... The first goal of EA is to put your product on testing in order to have feedback for the sake of balancing. NOT TO RELEASE THE GAME IN AN UNFINISHED STATE TO GET DOSH EARLIER.

They can take their time with updates as long as they're useful, but I don't understand how it is too much to ask to just have their opinion on important matters that are being discussed over and over again. What if they think that teleporting zeds is not subject to change and we have to deal with it eh ? What if we are discussing medic OPness for nothing because they just think it's fine ? We might as well not give any feedback if we are just chasing moonbeans...

The most frustrating thing about this situation / thread is not the lack of answers anymore, but this wall of stoic ignorance people erected in defense of Tripwire.

Of course there are impatatient and immature ones but the vocal majority in this forum merely asks for a roadmap in this potentially years long process. That's not unreasonable!
Yet, they get treated as heretics, called childish and unfit for Early Access because asking for more participation - let alone any form of criticism is an outrage apparently.

Was it really necessary to split up the community like that because some people want to get involved a bit more with the development of this awesome game?

PS: Fine Yoshiro said they don't have a roadmap themselves yet, so they can't provide us a public version and that may change later on. It's unfortunate but we have to accept that. Some of you even argued that way, but did any of you really know based on their communication?

I thought they said they DO have an internal roadmap but don't want to share anything of it to avoid finger-pointing if they miss any deadlines on in.

When did they say they don't have an internal roadmap? If there's not even an in-house plan with specific dates attached to it... we will probably be popping release corks in late 2016! :D

Like I sadi, all we have is "they are working hard" which, in fact, everybody knows.

If they dont even know if they want teleporting to change, I seriously doubt this EA will only be "a year long".

Roadmap is not deadlines, they can still release anything "when its ready". But what they do instead is shut the fron door will a dont disturb sign and tell everyone to just wait outside.

I am not losing interest but am not certain that I like the faster paced direction the game is trying to take right now. Things like teleporting zeds, zeds spawning to close to players, doors that cannot be repaired back, grab feature, and general spammy fast paced gameplay.

I am cautiously optimistic that they will move the marker closer to the formula of the original game but who knows. If not then I still have KF1 to enjoy and will just uninstall this game.

suggestion for bug report

suggestion for bug report

would it be to much to ask for an announcement section in the bug report,
" Known bugs and issues "
key binds, issue known (working on it) (not working on it)
ect...
is this really to much to ask for, as a locked announcement section, feedback is not needed. it can be updated on a regular basis .
like I've said there are a lot of repetitive posts in the bug report.

most real companies don't have an early release , this company wants all of you to be their game testers for free.

Next I have seen a lot of people posting in the bug report, with no acknowledgment of their hard earned work , as a free employee I want a report ; am I clear. I want weekly posts from Tripwire on what they are working on , and bug fixes.
Uninstall and don't come back. It is an honor to play this game as an early release. People like you are why companies don't talk much, because you make them nervous with having to be literal with everything and hold them to it by the letter. What a whiney loser you come off to be. Get a grip on yourself.
