I kindda agree. I can understand that major patches request a lot work and testing. Same as high-quality map development. So I'm ready to wait more.

But Tripwire's communication on forums isn't good for Early Access imo. I'm not saying that devs should reply in every stupid thread. But, for example, look into Bug Sections. First 5 pages with no developer comments at all. People are spending their time on giving feedback (for free btw), but devs can't spend just a few seconds to say "thanks for the feedback", "we looking towards it" etc. However, some of TWI guys can find spare time to post uselsess funny or trolling post on the forums.

Yes exactly what i mean, thank you. I would like to know what they think about various things and how would they like to deal with them, what they decide for from game design standpoint and which way will KF2 go.

Well the lack of updates is fine I guess, it's hard to balance a game where the key perks are missing anyway. I'm more disappointed in the lack of communication, there's been one map update and that's it. This is the first early access game I've bought and I thought there would be more but smaller updates instead of big chunks of updates. I've played a bunch of Blizzard betas and they're doing great work with telling what's coming next and stuff.

Maybe TWI need some community managers :p

I agreed.

Now i suggest other people don't buy this game.

Gameplay is ok but has few content.

Everyone have differ opinion, pls respect others thinking.:D
If you mean not buying it now, then I actually do agree. Because of this exact situation. People will play too much and get burned out before it has all its content. That's why I've been holding back.
Not surprising you'd lose interest after a month with only 4 classes and 3 maps and balance problems.

If the next update, whenever it comes, is limited to the new manor map and doesn't offer a new class with its weapons OR a radical balance overhall according to the main community feedback, something that reinvigorates the gameplay dynamics which are starting to feel tiersome right now, I'll be very disappointed in TWI.

Well they announced/hinted one or more perks for the next update but this also means the update won't be released this or next week => Probably not even this month.

My guess is:
They are trying to push out a new "What we are up to" without Yoshiro at the end of this week or monday in a pinch. Best case, they will then tell us briefly about the new upcoming perk and a possible release date for the patch.

However, since they've been dead silent on balancing and gamebreaking bugs issues there is no telling what we can hope for with the new patch. They only incidentally mentioned the zerker as one issue they are aware of, but not which part of it exactly.
Given we'll see any balancing at all, it will probably be SOMEthing regarding berserker. I doubt they can fix the perk for all times within one single patch though so don't expect too much.

Additionally, there will most likely be some (rather unexpected) changes which they concluded necessary from their data collection. Better give your medic's armor repair-capabilities a good long hug while you still can and who knows, maybe Bullpup was secretly OP? :p

Anyway, if that's the time it takes to move forward then so be it. More communication about what they imagine specific aspects of the game to become would find much appreciation though.

  • What exact issues do you see for each of the perks? Teleporting Zeds? Big one dynamics? Voice commands? Jump-climbing Zeds? Skill balance? etc.
  • On which of them are you currently working on? (not soon(tm) but what is actually being touched right now).
  • What exactly are you aiming to achieve in each matter?

I'm betting on something happening tomorrow, since tomorrow is the one-month anniversary of the game.

I love this thread.

Although I hate the way TW communicate in this forum - meaning that everything new about the game is first in the personal twitter accounts of the developers - that I really and I mean REALLY don't care about at all. Why would I follow John Gibbs? Why do I care about him. I care about KF2 not him, why do I have to follow his tweets in order to receive information about KF2 sooner? Why, since there is official forum where thousands like me go in every day with the same intention - to understand whats going on with KF2.

But no. You have to use Twitter and follow 15 people of the TW staff or you will probably know whats going on with KF2 if they remember to see their official forum.

I have a fake twitter in order to get a beta key, I followed a lot of people and companies and told them I like their products and I will never ever open that account again. So now all 15 people TW staff have fake followers. And I know another 20 or 30 twitter accounts created for the same reason by my crew and friends.

But why they do it - I don't know. Why do they need fake followers in Twitter - I don't know. It's probably because they are Murican and in Murica Twitter is really popular ... I can't think of any other reason. It is only bad for marketing and may result in bad communication like in DayZ where one of the directors said he was going to leave in Twitter and Bohemia's stocks wenty downhill.

Now for OP - if you don't want to provide information for KF2 - don't play it. It is not out yet. You are not entiteled to anything.

I myself play a match or two after work and thats it. I am not even going on HoE servers anymore since all I get is hour and a half of exploiting and kiting because of stupid people who don't know how to deal with SC and FP when they rage them.

I will probably spend more time with the game once it's out but it's good to follow the development. I don't actually care about anything - I see the game perfect as it is or if I don't like something there will be a mod for that - this is TW and they don't **** arround.

Just enjoy the fact that you can try the game before it is out but don't forget that this is what you are doing - trying out the game. You are not playing it, you won't keep any achievements or stats or anything. OP you can stop playing right now if you want to not provide information - and no one will miss you.

The devs did say that they were planning to release a new class every month, and right now it's been a little more than a month since release.

You're going to be really disappointed all the time if you're waiting for TWI to follow up on plans that they never actually made.

I had a discussion in some thread about pricing before release of early-access where some peopple were saying that the game should be cheaper because it is going to be early-access and they were also saying that early-access was best choice financially.
On the contrary if anything I thought and still think that the problem is that early-access was too cheap and encourages people to buy a game which is not yet released and judge it and kill their potential experience of it...

Well, the real problem is that early-access has been released at all and closed betas would have been far better at this stage. First impressions last and I thought and still think that early-access at this stage is a bad choice and would imagine it will not be best for the game's population or be profitable in the long run.

The amount of content on KF1 release should have been the amount of content on KF2 Early-Access release.

For many people once they become bored of a game that feeling of boredom lasts and they develop assosciations with the game no matter what new content they are playing.
Other day a friend was saying to me how he is just now bored of the gameplay from playing it with so few maps and perks and cannot see himself getting back into it; It is just way most human psyche's work.
Another friend I was discussing game releases this year, I said "I'm still looking foward to KF2 release the most" and he said "I'm finished with KF2".
really, and I'm pretty confident that is reality of strength of assosciation for many gamers. Try and gloss over the issue with the typical "new content coming etc" but that isn't everyone and not everyone would be continuing to play the game the same amount of time they would have otherwise.
When you have players start with a small amount of content they can kill quickly then you give them a slow drip of new content they just kill the drip of new content even faster.

I love TWI and KF2 but this ISN'T how "EA should be done".
Ea should have been release with atleast the 6 original perks and atleast 5 or 6 maps.
First there should have been many closed-betas (all the people who don't get into closed-beta and crying about it would be a GREAT hype-creating thing, not a problem) to get all the feedback about ridiculous sponging of Scrake and FP etc and then actually use that feedback before Open Beta begins.
Then have open-betas for more feedback before Early-Access begins.
Then release Early-Access with atleast a KF1 amount of release content.

I imagine if Early-Access had of been cheaper or there had of been open-betas at this stage then the long lasting damage to KF2 would have been very bad.

TLDR - Problem is not Early-access costing too much, no one is forcing you to play the game. IMO the problem is that you are allowed to play the game when there should be no Early-Access yet

thinking for me

thinking for me

I love how many of the responses are as if your thinking for me and putting words into my mouth. If you think I didn't know what I was buying when I bought the game, you're wrong. It would be nice to know what bug fixes they are working on, I've seen many posts in the bug report on the same issues. It would be nice if TW would acknowledge these problems and let us know what they are working on instead of having repetitive posts. In my hindsight I thought I was dealing with a more intellectual customer base

if you are talking about my post then you are 'thinking for me' by suggesting that i am talking about you. I am talking about people generally 'losing interest'. I didn't quote any post, I wasn't replying to any post.

most real companies don't have an early release , this company wants all of you to be their game testers for free.

Next I have seen a lot of people posting in the bug report, with no acknowledgment of their hard earned work , as a free employee I want a report ; am I clear. I want weekly posts from Tripwire on what they are working on , and bug fixes.

It's a complete game you loser, it just needs balance and exploit changes and the rest of it's content. It's also only $30, so you're probably just some kid without a job.

I've kinda already lost interest. A few friends have recently picked up the game which has sparked a desire to play again, but mostly I've grown bored of the same 3 maps, and don't wish to spend time grinding levels with the possibility of losing them. This will likely change when all my friends get the game and we can play together, but most of them don't want to buy a beta test and I can't really blame them.

Another reason I'm losing interest is I don't find the boss battle enjoyable at all.

Really, I bought into the EA knowing it was a beta test and that I wouldn't be sinking too much time into it.
