Well that's better......I was freaking out because I thought it read "Pick Up All!".

Actually I think it says just that... "pick up all!" :p

Well I don't think it is either. But the community for RO1 is pretty good with overall mature players. Who knows what kind of players are going to come in with RO2. I say the more the merrier but with that you need things like what I suggested....well "may" who knows.

Well, It's not a matter of players maturity. In RO:OST it's almost impossible to do weapon spam because dropped weapons disappear after a few seconds. Sometimes, in competitive gaming, we dropped a couple of mg's and sniper rifles to give them to fellow players, but it needs a really organized team which it's not easy to find in pubs

Yeah, you would think it would be a balance issue. In theory it should be. But even in DOD it isn't like this. You might get 4 mg's at once in a small map but nothing extreme. I was just stating why players might not like weapon pick up, I like it :)

Can we go back to picking up all the individual clips that fall out of peoples pockets when they die? That was hilarious.

Being able to pick up all the items that a dead player drops- enemy or otherwise- should be default.

There should be a server option to change between

-picking everything up separately with the "USE" key and no HUD messages ( just lijke you're picking stuff up off the ground), so weapons, multi-magazines, binoculars, MG barrels etc spread around. Would be realistic and would have a tactical effect cause it would take so long. TK in spawn for that Gold 40X Binoc is insta-Kick :)

- Noob-tastic Semi-instant HUD-click version, but weapon choice only. Not realistic, but OK for pub servers or casual games. Also too quick

I laughed when I saw the title of this thread, but this is an important thing.

Yes, RO2 is going to have a new pick up system making it easier for us all, this way you can pick up the mp40 magazines and not the P38.

I want to be able to snatch up as many grenades as I can, so now I'll be able to fend off the crazed-huntin' badge-boyz.

So I guess I won't be picking up those shiny binos from my dead platoon leader in RO2 either :)

It would be cool though.. or add the possibility to choose extra gear (other than weapons) as an achievement..

They also must add melee attack for binos. The major thing I always missed in RO1. :D

hopefully there is a animation associated with pickups and not call of duty run over or really Run over where person die and get replenished equipment because the character carries a magnet on his foot.

Because going on the Realism and stuff, People did loot dead bodies would ammo and weapons in WW2 all the time, and sometimes had to do it under fire in the heat of battle, so if there was a little animation of getting down and picking them up as well as a small timer in doing so would add a risk factor in, should i run over a get that MG ammo from that dead body and risk being shot, but doing so would allow my squad to have mg fire. This would provide team work when in times of a fire fight to cover those who run out to a dead boot for the loot.
