I remember back in the mod days, on deaths server when we had snow mobiles that could drive up 90 degree slopes covered in ice and plough over Timmy and his fellow chums, ah those were the days.

Wasn't that twin peaks? That was a fun map, luv hs clots from 2 miles away with the crossbow and blowing up a pack of crawlers and stalkers with the LAW. Timmy the timid fleshpound once tried to push me off of the mountain, that didn't end to well for timmy, I guess he didn't notice my gravity gun >:p

I think I'm gonna ressurect this thread just because I happened to spot it and it made me chortle.

2 years of KF and I still love it, those of you still here I'm sure are the same :) Looking back on some of these posts I can't help but LoL.

Like when the outbreak pack came out and almost everyone played as DJ Scully and more recently when Doom 2 was the source of many an angry thread in these forums.

Favourite memory has to be 1 knifing a Fleshpound though. Cheap or not the discovery of that glitch brought many players jaws to the desk the first time they saw it :)

@Jester Doom 2 sucks bro, first version was the best. Oh how I miss the one idiot that throws a nade and ends up blowing himself up.

I have reason to believe that you find that the current version sucks because it contains no exploits (and is not whitelisted??) and the first version you could exploit and power level to level 6.

LoL mate Doom 2 always sucked, the concept was great, but the mappers refused to fix all its exploits.

Incidently did anyone else preorder Killing Floor and DL on day of release and find they could only join maybe 1 server in like 1000 for like 2 days? :)

That first proper game we got going though was totally worth the wait :)

I remember the first game I ever played on Killing Floor around March 2010. Went on Solo and played Bedlam on Normal medium. I remember somehow surviving that game and beating the patty, but then not being able to beat Bedlam with perk bonuses for like 3 months lol.

I remember when the aa12 had that OOOO AHHHHH effect and everyone thought it was so great, and now I realize that it's a waste of 1200.

I remember my first and only old school suicidal game before HoE came out. I didn't think I was good enough for Suicidal, and a friend of mine begged me to join so I did. He wanted to play Doom2 (I know crappy map, but still) and we camped the brown room. I played demo with m32/m79/pipes. I remember blowing everything to pieces and ending up with like 890 kills. That's still the highest kill count I've had.

Searching for survivors.
First game I played was in the free weekend when the AA12 and other weapons were added two Christmases ago. As someone who is obsessed with killing zombies I instantly knew I was buying the game after I blew off the first clot's head.

The first time I used the shotgun it was on Biotics Lab. I was commando with a shotgun and bullpup and I kept telling everyone to try the shotguns because they are so awesome.

In response to imonoz's thread, I thought I'd give the story-telling a go! Here is a brief overview of my thoughts and feelings on KF!

I bought KF a couple of weeks after release after a friend of mine recommended it to me, I started on normal difficulty under my regular alias at the time: Deadeye.uK

I quickly found berserker and support were awesome, although I came from CSS so I found commando quite appealing! I distinctively remember playing manor a lot!

Despite being new to the game, I managed to grasp that I should only use weapons related to my perks! I became a massive fan of support/hunting (which I still use to this day!) as support and the chainsaw as berserker (you didn't even need a sidearm back then!)

I feared the Scrake most, I used to hate him charging at you somewhat unexpectedly and as a new player, he used to catch me a lot as I was reloading. I still remember the various trips to toilet - and my underwear drawer. Although he wasn't so bad after I discovered the 'aim over his left shoulder' headshot hitbox.

KF for me now, I only play with friends, normally organised, high difficulty games, as I find pubs are very hit and miss with good or bad players. The perk I use most is SS on HoE, and any perk that isn't level 6 on -> suicidal. My perks are currently: 5 Medic, Firebug, Demolitions, Commando. 6 Sharpshooter, Support, Berserker.

I like to mix around with strategies and setups depending on my mood! I beat HoE biohazard using mainly firebugs and LAW demo's!

One of my funniest moments would be rushing towards a welded door that is nearly breached. My welder is out, and im holding l-mouse, ready to weld as soon as i'm in range. I didn't see the spare FT the firebug had left. I picked it up and fired it close range into the door, setting myself on fire, and letting the specimens in, which then killed me. I didn't care, I was in stitches!

The best thing about KF is the re-playability. I've had x1000 my moneys worth for this game, and I hope that never changes. I also like how the developers are really involved in the community and I genuinely feel the community has a voice.

The bad thing about KF is... well... it can be scary to play at night...

A suggestion for the game would be an extreme difficulty level, with a ridiculously short trader time, zeds with further increases in damage, health and speed, as well as nerfs to player abilities such as self-heal and only supports can weld etc. This would be possible, but EXTREMELY difficult. I'd like this. I'd like this a lot!
