What's going to happen when Vince Young reaches the pros is that he's going to be the first QB that looks like some huge defensive tackle. The dude's 6'5" and 233 pounds in college and I'll bet he puts on some weight when he gets to the NFL. I wouldn't worry about him getting an arm snapped, especially when he's so mobile. Look at guys like Peyton Manning (6'5" 230) and Carson Palmer (6'5" 230)...they run like 20 year old 3 legged dogs and they seem to be doing fine against some lumbering defensive tackle.

If my QB is going to run for 200yds. in the championship against a team that's won 45 of 46 games I'd be ecstatic.

yeah the dude is awesome, he is huge and very strong so no he wont be a wimp in the pros like you think, after all where do you think most of the pros came from. He runs so much because he is so good at it and its hard for anyone to stop him so if it works do it and win, yeah they didnt trample USC but it just sounded good, and i wouldnt say USC beat themselves i say texas did, dont underestimate texas and overestimate USC,USC are the great unstoppable team everyone thought the can and did fall, dont get me wrong tho casue they were good, no great. Istill fail to see the hostilities that many Europeans hold toward American football all because a name I mean come on dont be ignorant, Im not saying its better and thus has the right to the name im saying it doesnt matter. I also wonder how many europeans have played american football? Dont put it down without playing it truely and all because you think your sport/country has the sole right to use the name football.

Why is the QB running that much? You know whats gonna happen when he reaches the pros. Some huge defensive tackle is gonna snap is arm in two places and good bye career. But I guess it was a good game from the restaurant I was at, people yelling and screaming every couple of minutes.

What about Michael Vick then :D ?

I honestly don't think Vick and running quarterbacks in general are that useful in the NFL. Its a nice bonus to have a mobile QB, but he's got to be able to read defenses and throw pin point passes first and foremost. Everyone always says that running QBs will revolutionaize the NFL, but look at McNabb, Vick and Culpepper all out of the playoffs. Vince Young will be good in the NFL, but nothing special. I guarantee he will not run for 200 yards ever again if he decides to enter the draft.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, but someone called a rooster, it is still a duck.

Who cares whether its called football or soccer. Its the same game on either side of the "Pond". This isn't a quest for who has the correct name for a sport.

It is a celebration of physical dominance:

Vince Young is an animal. The man is 6'6" and 240+ lbs. He demonstrated his ability as a rushing and throwing quarterback last night and his ability as an athlete. Whether or not you like American football, Vince Young must be respected.

MP-38, He was running that much because he was physically dominate. Watch him run with the ball, as he scrambles by lineman, linebackers and safetys, he looks calm and collected, and thats because he constantly makes huge plays by breaking tackles. USC linebackers were bounce off him.

Also, USC should be slapped on the wrist. Their inability to tackle in the backfield and open field cost them the game.

#2 Texas versus #1 USC will go down in the history books as a great game in the history of sports. Doesn't matter what you call the sport.

If anyone knows where I can buy a I <3 VY shirt like those two Texas chicks were wearing....I'd appreciate the hook up.

also, Enemy at the Gates is the most realistic depiction of Jude Law as a Russian sniper ever.

lol nice aobut enemy at the gates....
V. Young is great and should be respected, and in a sense he is maybe better than vick cause not only can he run he can very easlily throw very very accurately and make good plays and read the other team. like you said USC guys were bouncing off of him, I saw where one got through the Offensive line and when to sack Young but when he kit him Young just stood un moved like a tree and waited then eventually threw a completed pass with this USC hang off of him like a little kid, this showed how cool calm and mostly how strong Young is. i only wish Auburn had him.:(

American football is a bastardisation of Rugby and Football, with none of the positive qualities of either.

Yeah, no football riots:rolleyes:

Anyways, thrilled that Texas won. You see, I'm a student at UCLA, and my two favorite teams are the Bruins and whoever USC is playing.

BTW: The original USC mascots were the "Fighting Jesuits"

No riots connected to a sport is the same as no passion connected to a sport.

But hey, I guess having leet superstars perform during the game much more better!
