Long ROEd loads?

I knew it was gonna be a long time the first time I started it up because it has to extract things from the Steam cache files, but I'm booting it up for the second time the way stated in the topic about this and it seems to be taking a long time, just like when I started it up the first time.

I'm not really sure if I want to use the Ed if it takes this long to lad each time...

This happened to me to until i read the sticky ramm posted. Once you wait for the long loading time to be done close the sdk, go to your RO folder. Find the system folder and you will find the ROed.exe just use that to load up your ROed it will take a few seconds.

Yeah, what agenda said. If you launch it from within Steam it will re-extract all 2 gigs every time you launch. Use the ROEd.exe directly instead.

Can the Tripwire dev's do anything about it, It's no big deal but it's just more convenient being able to load everything from Steam.

Starting up a shortcut from your desktop is just as convenient isnt it?

I have over half a screen full of icons (1280x1024) yes I don't clean my desktop much either.

same here (execpt @ 1600x1200) but that dusnt stop me

select a icon, hit the R key and keep pressing it untill you got the icon you want, then hit enter. simple.
