SOllution TT in your tag.
If a non-TT enters.. Be a good example what TT is like.
If he doesnt comply, Complain.
If he doesnt listen, find another tank.
If it doesnt work, change server.
If that doesnt fix it, go infantry.

If that doesnt work, go back to CS.

Locking bots out of tanks is a good idea I think.

I think TT is overrated as well, especially with a complete stranger or someone who can't shoot/drive to save themselves. With one of my clan mates yes, then it is productive, but too often I end up in a tank with some guy who just won't stop moving when I am telling him I have spotted an enemy and am ready to shoot, or someone who just can't hit a target more than 30m away.

I almost exclusively solo tank for these reasons and I usually do well. I'll tell you what is really aggravating when you have taken up a valuable position and are capping or pinning the enemy down while your team caps and some bozo jumps in and starts driving. Then starts telling you that your camping when you ask him to stop

Man I though this thread was going to about making the game into Battlefield 2 and have infrantry classes and tanks locked.
Anyway this idea of locking tanks is stupid because on maps where there're few tanks and buildings to fight in, you need to have team mates and you may get some retard who wants the tank all to himself.

Well the bot issue is particularly bad, especially on a map like Konigs... Bot keeps getting in my Tiger and unangling it and you have to yell at him to get out every 15 seconds, after which time he jumps back in! Beyong annoying!

Use search this has been talked to death. Why did you buy a team game if you dont like teamwork? I bet you dont even have a mic. For those of you that get A$$hats screaming to get out of their tank just stick with it they may suicide the tank but dont back down they obviously have the shorter temper if you wait them out they will leave.

The one comment about locking out BOTS (and BOTS only) is a decent one. That did make sense and I can agree with that....

If I jump in a tank that is occupied, I'll use the MG position only, to clear infantry and also to point out targets for the main gun ( while using the tank comms keys to alert the driver/gunner to the threat ), apart from that I'll wait for my own tank.

I have no problem with team tanking, provided I'm using comms and the other guy is, otherwise it is frustrating to line up a shot in a perfectly angled tank just to miss as the driver decides he saw a nice butterfly on yonder hill...

Having 3 guys per tank suits me if it is the enemy too, I get to kill 3 of them with one shot :)

I don't agree with locking tanks, but I do wish people who chose tank classes would wait for their own tank or teamtank with people who have requested such.

Nothing like waiting at spawn when everybody drives off, gets killed, respawns then they demand to get in the tank you waited for, only for them to start MGing and popping off main gun ammo on the way out of spawn, aimed at nothing and just annoying the hell out of the team.

The guys who use the TT prefix in their names are making it clear that they want to teamtank, the others ( like me ) would prefer not to have anyone else in the tank.

Easy system if you ask me :p
