Why wasn't classic mode in from the start?

Because they wanted to gather in as much money as possible with their COD version of RO while they could. Would have much rather them make the game everyone wanted at first but meh, money is money.

TWI takes ages for everything it seems.

imo what RO2 is really missing is more of the classic maps from the original RO bringing into RO2. Also the transport vehicles.
