Thats really cool I didnt know that, I knew about the different teams and orders, thats good to know theres heads up on that for other team mates following a leader, easier communication.
I like the level of detail in aiding the player co-ordinate and properly strat.
The more you know.

Its to do with Squad Leaders and their Fireteams and whether they have been issued orders.

I can't remember the explanation for which a clanmate explaned it as but its to do with that. We were both baffled by it too until we worked it out.

EDIT: If i remember correctly. As a Squad Leader, if you hold down F and then Mouse Wheel it will go through the different Fire Teams within your Squad and each symbol represents a different Fireteam or something like that.

I am pretty sure its a hero symbol. Notice in the lower left the icon that pops up when I am near a hero teammate. Shows the moral boost effect. More bars on the icon the closer I get and the more effect I feel.

No, it's not VOIP icon. As far as I remember, I was a SL and he was in my squad. Axis has a similar symbol, which was posted couple posts up.

Guys,this symbol is needed for squad leaders to clearly see what fireteam (or player) is selected for the order. Press X, select FT1 for example and you will see it,if this fireteam near you.

The blue one's actually a Facebook symbol - shoot it and the player is invited to join your friends list.
