I get the letdown, but I'd understand it way more if the game was say, a month or more from its early access release.

In this case, its just under two weeks which isn't all that bad.

Anyway, the game is ****ING FANTASTIC but there are some unfortunate bugs that crop up for no apparent reason here and there, and handfuls of server hiccups to be had. You'll have more fun than we're having when you start in EA.

Create a webapi, using sql database.

From there enter the keys, and it will generate a random link. Give out the link, when people click on the link they click on redeem but before doing so must enter a re-captcha and an answer to a random question, then the key will be given and removed from the database of remaining keys so no one else can get it. Therefore it will have to just rely on speed.

If you want it completely fair, use the SteamAPI to mark on hours spent in kf1 so if 300+ or 1k+ and they are on the forums actively then auto pm keys to them, but I don't know how to go about doing such a thing.

It is very disappointing. I trust TWI, and am sure they are monitoring their fan feedback. I'm more disappointed in the partners.

My buddy has over 6,000 hours in KF. He rents 5 KF servers. I maintain his servers. As soon as I learned from the server admin forum that select GSPs would be given early access hosting, we submitted a ticket asking for details. The GSP closed the ticket rather quickly with no helpful info.

You would think that someone with 5 KF servers (plus others through their service) would get an early access key. Instead, the keys went out on their Twitter feed for anyone to grab... So much for rewarding loyalty.

TWI might want to consider putting parameters around how partners can distribute keys. Reward the loyal fans, not the bots, opportunists, and casual players.

Personally, I'd love a key, but I am a social gamer. I won't play without my buddies. I need a 10 pack.

I'll knit the TWI team a Horzine logo or KF-themed hat in return!

What I don't really appreciate is that the OP claims that all the keys were taken by unknowns which is untrue as I saw several regular forum users post that they acquired a key...

I don't complain a lot. I was slow and a friend told me that tripwire were giving away some keys on the forums and twitter. Oh well, with 1,7k hours put into KF, i'm not really upset about not having those keys.

I think we should use this time to dig around for info. A lot of guys have been posting settings and control menus and stuff. If you don't get it that's alright, learn what you can. From what I've seen of others posts, Skully doesn't look like he's in right now, which is disappointing.

It's painfull to watch all these streamers who seem that have never ever touched kf1 getting to play this. I don't like this form of key giveaway, even if I had gotten one I'd still be against it (but more happy of course ).

I'm pretty butthurt too but oh well. Early Access KF2 drops smack in the middle of my exam period so at least I'll be preoccupied until I can finally play.
