"I died in Vietnam in '69... my humanity died. I knewed we are all dead when the last Huey left us so deep in the jungle.. so close to the border with Cambodia. Theres no turning back now. We are going home in.. black plastic bags. It was quiet, clear, very beautiful night. Then, I guess it was about 1:30, all hell broke loose. It was all about the survival, we cant go back and we cant go further.. I was in a spectacle of men screaming, gun fire, rain of bullets and blood. We have lost our human nature, we were animals back then. My best friend was ripped apart by a booby trap just a step away from me. I killed gook after gook, another after another. My M16 jammed right when another yellow bastard appeared. I throwed the rifle in his face, he fell down on the ground and I jumped on his chest, stabbed my knife in his throat yelling "You like that dont ya!" Suddenly horrible pain burned my chest. I was covered in blood, mine blood, someone other's blood but for sure I was hit right in the chest. I was down but not out, I pulled out my 1911. Another Viet soldier appeared and I shot but I missed. The last thing I felt was the cold barrel in my mouth. This is how I died. This is how we died. 26th Reg 2nd Battalion of US Marine Corps will never come back because they are all dead."
In Country: Vietnam! I can't wait!!
