Lighting Issue

Created some under ground bunkers and placed SM lights in them and then added light actors but ingame the light actors do not show up? So Im left running in the dark......:confused:

What about dense fog? I have the dence fog on in the map will that affect the lights?

Have you put the light actors inside the sm lights? Because they can't shine through them unless you set bShaowCast to false in the display properties of the StaticMeshes! If you have coronas and you can't see them through the StaticMeshes you need to disable bBlockZeroExtentTraces in the SMs collision settings.

I don't know if this is a light issue or not,but I have a couple of purple places on terrain that are pretty big??????

Can you provide a screenshot?
If your layers alpha-maps have a different resolution than the heightmap you get black spots on your terrain. Never heard of purple spots but it may be related. Or your graphics card is overheating. Hard to tell without a screenshot.
