Tron cycle grid game, very nice, quick action, but a lot of fun.
There are actually clanservers out there, and those clan players are really insane.

Quite fun though, me and my clan played it for a while and also hosted a server a while back.

dunno if anyone here played tron by monolith but it was actually pretty good- and the light cycle sections were excellent.
unlike the pic above , it really looked like the film.

Was that TRON, or that TRON 2.0 that came out awhile ago? I always did like the light cycles, ever since I saw the movie in '82 I think it was. Recognizers were cool too.

2.0 - i guess the 2 reflects the fact that reference is made to the origional TRON program in the game, as well as phaps acknowledging the old midway arcade machine.
anyway, it was quite good i thought and the although light cycle multiplayer wasn't officailly supported for some reason you could still find games online.
The combative mini game arenas were ok too- by the time a proper DM mode was added on too few ppl were playing it unfortunately.

for those who never saw it...

digging up these screens from visual walkthoughs has reminded me what a decent game this was- certainly at least for a tron fan.

yeah i loved it too and may well play though it again ( I don't do that with many games)
glad you said that cos it isn't really seen as a great game and I wondered if 90% of my enjoyment was Tron-love based.
I remember being pleased with how the the enviroments stayed interesting thoughout the game's length- not a bad achievment considering the obvious constraint of keeping it Tron-ish.
