Ah yes - I have records of the 41st Separate Mine-Lice Battalion somewhere. I gather the main problem was getting close enough to deliver them to their targets. I've also read somewhere that, because they were trained on Soviet officers, they tended to turn round and chase their own men. I think I also read that, during the summer retreats, some of the women in the villages were infected with mine-crabs...
Wait, were these lice intended to attack German or Soviet officers? ;)

This topic and other topics like this aren't ment to insult one of the armies involved in this conflict. We just like to approach the subject somewhat lighthearted.

I never intended to come across as accusatory. Like I said the idea and thread don't really bother me, I was just sharing my thoughts on the subject.

I was'nt satirizing the problem, it was legitamate (but not really good for this gameplay)

Oh, I know. If I'm cross at anyone it's the lice. My appologies for making you feel as if you had to defend yourself.

Oh golly, and I thought this was a serious suggestion untill I read all the responces.

Winturkey, can you please put a small warning to all readers to NOT be drinking something when they read your post, I had a hard time swallowing my coffee due to laughing so hard....

@ OP: No, thankyou.

Don't worry: For clarification, I was 100% not serious (hence my little note wishing the troll emoticon was still here).

This was purely satirical, and basically prompted because Drecks said he hadn't seen it ever suggested...

Dear Alvin,

We are fully aware of the cruelties both army have faced during the battle of Stalingrad. And we are also aware of the fact that these lice where a serious problem. I'm even aware that a lice, in order to survive, needs a living host.

This topic and other topics like this aren't ment to insult one of the armies involved in this conflict. We just like to approach the subject somewhat lighthearted.

War simply sucks. It's a dirty bastard where old man tell young people to die. And it will make good man bring up a dark side which they never thought it excist.
War is not a game. It's a dirty stinking MOFO which kill millions of innocents.

We only discuss games about war. We just stare at a screen discussing silly realism issues like sort of bayonets and the amount of ammo for a game which is lightyears away from realism.

AMEN

Drecks

Very well put! I couldn't have put it better myself!

No problem, it brought up a valid point :D

As Drecks said, "War simply sucks"

I think it should take 30 rounds to take someone down, after which you have the option to punch them to death or curbstomp them.

Make it 40 for SMGs, 4 for rifles and 15 for machineguns on basic level. Not only it enforces teamwork because taking targets down alone is impossible it allows epic circlestrafing CQB scenarios almost everywhere!
