Sure, then you will always have people to test your levels and get instant feedback. And I can only see Killing Floor and it's players benefit from such an idea, hehe.

As a new mapper, I'd love to see a Killing Floor Mapping steam group. Anyone want to set one up?

Edit- Setting up groups is easy! Group is named Killing Floor Custom (KFC ), public for now, hop in!

I would love to be part of a mapping team. I have experience some experience mapping in both hammer and ue editor. I can assist with concept, mapping, and custom textures. I am also slowly learning to model, so in the future I could also offer static meshes. I've joined KFC on steam, so I'll see you there :)

Hi, I've worked with Hammer before, and I think I've got most of the basics for UE down. I can probably pick up the software to make static meshes pretty quickly (I'm a mechanical engineer, and work with 3d CAD all the time). I'm working on a map right now, and could really use someone willing to make textures. I'm on steam with this name.

I'm down. count me in. I'm a Semi-good mapper althought i do tend to make silly mistakes. mainly good and lighting, path-nodes, and map-flow.

use Inventor or Pro-Engineer, both much better than damned 3DS Max or Maya

well if you were to export something from 3DS Max it would be a .obj which would then be converted I think. I'm fairly certain that Autocad, Inventor, and Pro-E can either save as a .obj or be converted to one.

look what he made

From the unreal wiki:
Can I use AutoCad for building meshes and such or am I stuck with Maya and that other 3D program? You can use Autocad or Inventor to create meshes as long as as you save your mesh in iges format, then you can import it into MAX 5 texture it then save it as a ase file which you can then import into UED 3 as a static mesh but if you texture your mesh with a texture that is not an original texture be sure to import it into UED3 or you will have to rassign new textures to your mesh.

I forgot that for more complex stuff I'd need someone who could do textures :(

well there you go, I forgot about unrealwiki. Yeah, modeling is the easy part, its getting someone who can code/texture/animate because you are too lazy to learn that too that sucks.
