Ammo always runs short with the MG34 if you're in a good spot. Going single-shot makes it last, spreads out the suppression, and makes for longer-range kills sometimes.

Just don't assume folks don't know what they're doing, that's all.

Sorry Jank, didnt mean for it to sound like they didn't know what they were doing, just putting across rather than trying to snipe with an MG, why not just grab a bolt?
Same suppression could be achieved if the 'spot' is a good one :)

If anyone did take offense at the ''clubbed in the back of the head'' comment then apologies are offered to you.

Like always, opinions vary as to how to best use a firing platform. And that is where the fun of everyone having their say comes in :).

As to favourite MG spots, anywhere with a fair amount of cover and a better field of view is always a good place to start.

A good spot? Good LoS, far enough from enemy (we don't want those nades and autos coming down our heads, do we?). Is all. I try to avoid running around cramped spaces with an MG, unless I really see no other option.
