Level Design Leaking Light

Basically the problem is I don't know how to stop light leaking from outside into my interiors. I have a sunlight, an ambient light going from level properties and also zonelight from zoneinfo inside the interiors. When I set the ambient light in level properties to 0 the problem disappears, but I would prefer not to do that because I don't want pitch black shadows outside.
It shouldn't be my bsp isn't on grid because I right-clicked every corner several times to be sure.

Things I have tried:
Making a test hall to duplicate problem (It was successful)
Making walls thicker (this only helped the cracks of light some but light on char still shows)
Adding and subtracting each cube separately
Adding zoneinfo outside

Here is an SS:

As you can see my pistol and hands are lit up and there is also a crack of light

Here is my map:

Honestly I am not so worried about the cracks of light because they are barely noticable but the light on character I hope to fix. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated!

Did you try to use "ambient brightness" in zoneinfos' properties instead of using level properties?
you could add zoneinfo for outside area and set the "ambient brightness" the way you like.

As for leaking light on that surface, did you open the surface properties and set the "light map" from 32 to 16 or 8?
