Law ied?

Everytime I myself or someone else I have played with buys a LAW it ends in certain doom. Now just today I figured 'Hey why not use the law, its been awhile" my buddy said" no dont doit you will just end up gibs". well this is what happened. Last wave, lvl6 demo was buying up Laws and droping them, I too was demo(lvl4) so I set out pipes and picked up a law for ULTIMATE DEVASTATION. I am standing out in the open with no one around, saw the patriarch, so I aimed and pulled the trigger . . . and Exploded into a billion bits.

this seems to happen EVERYTIME I hold the law. its like my character puts the rocket in sideways so it points at my head.

Maybe you should have explosion resistance + armour? New feature perhaps?

On a more serious note I have no idea what you're doing wrong but the LAW will be tweaked in the next patch.

It is just like using the other launchers. Make sure you have high ground if someone steps in from of you. Toast. I hate missing with the nades to.

I played some more of the Beta last night. It was feeling pretty good. I like the feel of the Katana again. Seems like the chain saw is slower and heavier on the character.

There was one server up. Suicidal. Not sure who it was. My first thought was Fel. Not sure though. Played a few rounds solo just to get the feel of it again. Be interesting to see the new higher level.

The LAW is awesome in the next patch, it's a much better weapon. Only a couple days mate.

I finally got level six demo tonight. I'm so pumped for the 20-rocket LAW. And the fact it'll be harder for me to lay a carpet/ minefield of pipebombs.

My only "complaint" is the enormous red-dot sight for it. At least it doesn't have the blast shield like the default panzerschreck in DOD 1.3 though.

But dont worry, LAW will get some serious upgrades in the upcoming patch and its pretty much impossible to kill yourself with it anymore.

Next patch turns the LAW into the sacred Battle Standard. Wielding one upon your shoulders will inspire your entire team to fight better and more couragiously. It will also fill the air with large clouds of blood and turn fleshpounds into pounds of flesh.

I feel the pain on this one, but I have a far larger issue with Husks detonating my hand grenades in mid throw killing me instantly on suicidal...
I'm not sure if they can detonate rockets in mid air, maybe something to look into.
But either way, I only use the LAW when I'm feel like gibbing massive groups on specimen, along with myself.

I think it is pretty cool that husks can do that. Last time one killed me like that it made me laugh.

I can manage the LAW with a lot of success on hard at level 3. The only really viable (default) maps for it are Mountainpass and Manor. Oddly enough, West London isn't too great.

Farm. It can work on Wyre too if you camp the roof.

Ah, right.. didn't think about those seeing as how I never play em. I suppose they would actually be BETTER than Manor. Lots of elevation changes and hills/fortifications to stand on. West London is a bit too flat for me :<

Me: Dude you bought a LAW *laugh*
Badger: Yeah, I'm going to use it on the Patriarch
Me: No, don't do it, you'll just end up in gibs
Badger: I'll be fine
Me: Everyone I know that uses it kills themselves in the first rocket somehow

*Badger lays out pipebombs around the area, jumps up on high ground, I boot it away from him*

-Patriarch spawns in room next to us and walks into our room-

*I look over just to see Badger fire the rocket, which explodes in front of him, setting off all the pipebombs in a unison explosion, killing him*

Badger: AHHHHHHH!
