They should setup a map event so anyone who mentions brick/s in the chat gets smacked in the forehead with one, taking half their health and blurring their vision :D

Im wondering if we allready have this patch in the beta or if this patch will come to the beta at all.

Its a huge update of serveral gigs because the maps get optimised or something and I cant recall having had severel gigs in the beta as a DL.

So is the beta only to test stats and soundbugs and performance without the optimised maps?

Same on comissar's house (except in the very beginning). Useless bricks all over the place.
Argh commissars houe, the map that runs worst on my system. It even runs Pavlovs House alot better. But commissar's. It needs alot of work.

Not only on the graphical part, the balance is off too. 4 tanks on a map the size of a poststamp (for tankdistances) minus 50% because of the spawn protection. COME ON :(

Looks like you have to wait till a engine like this will feature it i nreal time and you are maybe looking at the wrong game. Right now there is NO Engine that can really feature that level of destruction detail in real time.

Which you can in no way compare as it's level of detail is about a million times below that of RO

Doesn't matter - it shows that full destruction can and has been done.

Also, with hd-textures the game can look about as good as RO1. By upping texture quality you could make it look as good as RO2 in some aspects. Sure it's an rts, but it DOES look good.

He specifically refers to the level of detail, not simply the presence of destruction.

See ****ty performance when any amount of destruction happens. Their engine is way more flawed then any other RTS engine I've ever seen. In MP, if 1 player has a low framerate, everybody else's framerate gets locked to a lower one so desync doesn't occur.

Not sure if that's just your computer or what. Mine doesn't drop unless it's anything less than a Katysha barrage onto a village full of ammo dumps and exploding tanks. Trick is to have draw distance SLIGHTLY below maximum.

Their engine is really, really good compared to any other RTS-engine. The amount of calculations doesn't even compare to most other RTS-games.
