I just spent a while playing this map as Russian and literally we were being mowed down at spawn by a german MG34. When I say "literally" it is in the truest sense, spawn, immediately die, spawn, die.
TWi this is not good, i'm, sure you know this.

Basically the game ended there as only about a third of allied players were able to get more than 20 yards from spawn then they got fight the whole German team on "equal" footing..

I have no idea how you played this map and missed this problem, oh wait, you didnt test anything you produced thus far.. waiting in patience for yet another fix

Were you only limited to one spawn, or did they have MGs at both? Was it a combined arms map, and if so, where was your tank?

Have you not played this map? What has the location of the tanks to do with it? the point was, the enemy can spawnkill ala cod and mohaa style. Do i really need to describe any other details? Let me repeat, as you seem to be hard of understanding, I spawn, die, I spawn again,INSTANTLY DIE.

Certainly somone had their fun tonight on server.

Hey smartass, I asked where your tank was because if an MG was camping my spawn (and I couldn't chose somewhere else to spawn), I'd ask on team chat if the friendly tank could please come over and silence this MG. If the tank commander slot was empty, then I'd take it and do it myself.

maps are very imbalanced in my opionion, most of the times if the defenders are not complete retards lots of maps can be won within the first lockdown.

Commissar house is just a massacre tbh.

It takes an intensely bad Russian team for the Germans to be able to move up to the spawns and hold them. The water refinery is within grenade distance of the left spawn and a single smoke cloud completely covers the small distance into it. You don't even have to be good to clean the Germans out of there, a simple push of warm bodies will do it. The routes to building 81 from the other spawns have tons of cover and a protected area right next to them, so they're only vulnerable from long range, and there's a lot of positions around the central Russian spawns for a rifleman to clear out every long-range position with a cover advantage in his favor. If a tank rolls up to get the angle he needs to shoot in the early areas, it's forced to close into smoke grenade range, which an attentive engineer or AT soldier can exploit immediately.

Commissar's House is a rough map for the Russians, but it's because of the refinery + house obj pair and the no-man's + park obj pair. The starting spawns are the best terrain the Russians will ever have on that map, and if you can't even hold those, you're not going to get anywhere farther anyway.

At max 2-3 spawn kill from MG or Tank AI. If anything does over that then the Allies are not doing something right.

I sense there was a significant lack of smoke in this match from the Russian's side. 2-3+ Squad Leaders with their Troop Leader throwing their smoke would easily conceal the entire left approach to the water refinery (with a little extra smoke to spare). It can be a real pain to take out an MG set-up there, but it isn't too terribly difficult, either.

Use a different spawn, smoke, have tanker cover you etc......

There is always another way ;)

Poor Russian team if you ask me....... Sounds like no teamwork :rolleyes:

I would disagree because I've managed to see a more even mix- sometimes the teams get stacked in favor of the Axis, but generally speaking if teams are reasonably balanced it can be anyone's game. For Russians, a lot of it is coordinating getting just enough people into side cap zones and supporting each other as people relocate to better cover/new areas. Without teamwork, it can be mind-numbingly frustrating to play as the Russians, though.

Tanks and well placed arty is key to russian victory on this map. If I get a chance to play as tank CDR. RIght off the bat I race forward and run over germans hiding behind that wall at Alpha cap. I usually crush about 4 or 5 without them knowing and my hull MG usually takes out a few too. This allows the infantry cap real quick.

I keep moving and set up on the road facing towards the germans and pick off germans either going to the water refinery, Alpha cap, or shoot the bldg in North park.

Other caps I try and cut off german reinforcements with coax and HE

German tank I try and ignore/avoid and hopefully russian AT can keep them busy.

As a tanker in that map you must fire that main gun constantly on HE, even blind fire in enemy suspected positions and enemy assault paths. I get more kills that way than direct fire. Waiting for targets will just get you a AT grenade.

The balance is bad on the map, but as long as you learn some tricks the map it become very doable, however you need to attack in order to learn them, and that can be very painful, so most just camp. Once you get past the first area I actually really like the map.

The map is well balanced. I play soviet commander on it all the time and the soviet team usually wins.

There are problems in the map though, it is possible for a Panzer IV to park in a position where it looks straight at where the T34 spawn is. I don't doubt that it's possible for a PzIV to get to a position where it looks directly onto the squad spawns too. The map needs much stricter protected zones to stop Axis from being too far ahead of what they are defending.

That might have been me. My favorite mg spot for the German side is on the mound of snow right next to the T34 in front of building 81. I was something like 31 kills and 0 deaths for the entire match.

Comissars is basically two different maps. If you don't take A, B and D fast you'll get raped (thank god for lockdown, twi!). If you accomplish that, the Jerrys are in for a beating.
