Cool! I love the tunnels at F, you've put so much effort into that side of the map, I'd hate to see it bypassed.

I've tried loading the map through SW, but it keeps crashing the game. POS.

it's got the same name because of workshop, it's actually v6. But v7 will be named v7 and uploaded to workshop separately.

Just finished the new defenses. I also think I'm going to have G+bridge active at the same time.

Now it looks like the Axis can put up a serious defense! I like it. You might have to keep the time at 45 minutes again to give the attackers a shot a taking it. :p

I just thought of something that fits perfectly in this map, and its something that the RS mod completely forgot about or did not add! Sniper perches/nests! This could really become handy for the Japanese side in the center of the map where it turns into a jungle warfare. The Japanese used the tactic of hiding in palm trees allot in the Solomons:

"The flanks of Japanese positions and weapon emplacements were covered by snipers. Snipers were concealed in the tops of palm trees and were not detected until they opened fire, despite careful observation of tree tops. The Browning automatic rifle proved to be an excellent weapon for dealing with snipers.
maybe you can fabricate something for the Japanese side so they have a snipers nest here and there.

I did try to do that but I couldn't get the climb volume to work properly.

What about having F recapturable while the village is active? And the bridge recapturable while G is active? ( G + Village are locked after cap) it could help the Japanese.

Defense of the bridge looks nice, but I agree with Lugnut, keep enough time so the Allies have a shot at taking the bridge if it proves too difficult (although those spots look like good targets for allied sharpshooters :p)

Regarding those sniper spots, you can always add some ladders to the long huts in the village. This way the sniper/mg/rifleman does not has a huge advantage when being hidden.

  • Removed shadows on grass, should improve FPS.
  • Village + Swamp are active together, Swamp is recapturable.
  • Bridge and Ruins are active together, Bridge is recapturable.
  • Removed the 2 objectives that were either side of the bridge.
  • Timer is now 42 minutes.
  • Adjusted spawns and cap zones.
  • Added defenses around the Japanese side of the bridge and some other small stuff to terrain.


I changed the name of the file, there is now a upper case 'J' in the name KitaJima. Tried to get on workshop but "unknown error".

FPS is better, it's similar to other maps for me now.

I jumped on the RGN server yesterday and I love the new defenses at the bridge although I haven't played it on a full server yet. The results of controlling the MG at the side should prove interesting.

I think it will play better, in terms of working as a team, before you had such a big distance separating the team. Because Village and Swamp are active together, there's no need to go past those objectives or go anywhere near the bridge until it's active, and because it's recapturable it should allow for a tug of war fight, plus when the allies cap Ruins they get a spawn there to help flank.
