Let's hope a succession crisis doesn't happen. As much as I dislike the government there, I would hate to see the chaos of internal strife; better instead to have new, competent, and more open-minded leadership be introduced through stable and direct means. Let's just hope that is the result.

Wonder what he was looking at before he died.

Perhaps a picture of himself on the wall, they are everywhere after all, kinda hard to miss.

On topic: Lets hope his son will actually take positive actions for his peoples' welfare instead of being a dick/undesirable party drunkard(figuratively) of the world.

I doubt they can find a new leader who's as adorable in an ugly baby sort of way as Kim Jong was.:(

Maybe they can train a hamster? Make him look a little bigger in photos with forced perspectives and all? Put a lil' fedora on him...
Probably still not as adorable as Kim Jong, but it'd be a start.

Where is that image from (how was it obtained)? May it be that N. Korea simply did not release any data about what is being shown?

Okay, so Pyongyang is lit up for business visitors, while the rest of the country is under a blackout. They are at war, afterall. A blackout used to be a normal thing during war. (Not that the war itself is normal, obviously)

You see those lights to the west of South Korea? On a regular map there is nothing there. Reason for there being so many on the coast where in reality there are just a few villages? They are fishing lights. The DPRK just doesn't have a large fishing industry. Nice try.

It's like if they don't cry more than the person next to them they will get beaten and lose their pay for the week.

Yeah I laughed hard when I saw all those propadanga pictures of people crying. Also reading some of the official statements made me think of 1984.
