Killing Floor won't Update

The most resent update (summer sideshow update) won't update for me. Any suggesttions or reasons?

Exit Steam and restart it... usually works for me. I think the Steam servers are getting a pounding right now though!

It's been like that for at least 10 minutes now. Is it because of the traffic?

Update: Nevermind, I just left it alone and eventually it finished after about 30 minutes.

ive been on steam since the update was up and it still hasnt started its just telling me that the DL is starting. Also restarting and changing regions didnt help

I'm stuck at 72% downloaded when every i try to resume downloading it starts and then quickly changes to download paused. This happens every time I try to start the download

Same problem here. Stuck at about 95% since yesterday. Tried to resume / restart steam multiple times. Update status reads 'suspended'. Wtf?

Also, tried to delete .blob files from steam folder. Does not work.

Killing Floor still isn't updating for me. Has anyone found a fix for this? It goes to 98% then says suspended and won't start back up.

I had this problem as well yesterday. It would start downloading, then immediately pause for no reason.

I after an annoying amount of time trouble shooting, I fixed the problem by disabling a program I have on my PC called "Game Booster," which clears background processes and increases processor performance.

My guess was that the increased performance was tricking Steam into thinking I was playing a game, that was causing it to pause the download. I'm not positive, but I do know that when I returned back to "normal" mode in Game Booster the problem went away. Oh and changing my DL location may have helped too.

I got the same problem but im on a mac. It just says that the download is paused. i cant uninstall it or even download the update. Also whenever i try to open it, it says all files are verified and then brings up a window about how the servers are down. Ive been getting the same message for about a week now. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I believe this issue, though, is simply due to the high volume of people downloading games due to the Summer Sale. If this problem persists, please contact Steam support. Unfortunately, there is very little we can do when Steam refuses to download or launch our games.

I'm having this exact problem right now. I've tried restarting Steam, verifying game cache, deleting those .blob files, deleting .ini files, but nothing works!

So, i'm having this issue since the update BEFORE Summer Sideshow 2012. Nothing works, and apparently the internet don't know how to fix it. Please, HELP.

As a matter of fact, the update "time initiated" always seems to be the actual time when i start steam.
