I don't really want to bother folks to get partners to unlock it if I don't have to... especially since its already been solved, but I don't want to beat all the maps and find I can't 100% the game because I didn't take part in a cryptic quiz... was never very good at cryptic stuff

Anyways, the Greylist is made specifically for mods. As you know, maps, when non-whitelisted, allow Perk access, but you can't level....but with non-listed mods, those just don't allow any sort of Perk access. At all.
So the Greylist is a sort of intermediary between White and Black, allowing Mods to access Perks (like maps) but not level.
