"are you still getting slow connections? since the patch before this last one, i was in in less than 15 seconds as opposed to the 60-90 seconds before. you really should invest in some more RAM "

I have 8 GB of Ram, pre 1008 I was loading in mere milliseconds, now Im lucky if I get in on wave two for most maps, Although SOME maps now load a lil faster I still have the problem. one to three minutes of load time.

c2d E6600 3.0/3.0ghz
8GB Patriot G series DDR 1066 Ram
Asus P5N-E SLi
8800GT x 2 (512/512) Latest drivers
Windows 7 ultimate edition

Other fixes, I can see, though I really did love taking the time each round to set bombs, Keep team mates from luring mobs over to them, and than dragging patriarch over to them in the end, only to form a cloud so big people crash from the FPS drop :p

I said i would post if i felt like this game the memory things were fixed, they arent for me. Just played one game on biotics, after that i was at 500,000 kb of mem. We changed maps to foundry and by start of wave 5 i was at over 800 mb with 1gb total mem on my comp. WTF?

  • Minimum:
    • OS: Windows 2000/XP/Vista
    • Processor: 1.2 GHZ or Equivalent
    • Memory: 512 MB RAM
    • Graphics: 64 MB DX9 Compliant
    • Hard Drive: 2 GB free hard drive space
    • Sound: DX 8.1 Compatible Audio

  • Recommended:
    • OS: Windows 2000/XP/Vista
    • Processor: 2.4 GHZ or Equivalent
    • Memory: 1 GB RAM
    • Graphics: 128 MB DX9 Compliant with PS 2.0 support
    • Hard Drive: 2 GB free hard drive space
    • Sound: Eax Compatible

These are the recomended settings from the steam store...i meet these settings, and can play every other game i own on highest setting 100% of the time.

Yet i crash with KF on the lowest setting possible...this blows, go back to the 1006 build, it actually worked. Definately not fixed...

Not to rain on your parade there skillshot, but I must say 1GB ram is pretty low by todays standards.

Considering the game ate like 1.8GB ram sometimes before the latest patches I would say they have fixed the memory usage considerably.

I got 6GB myself, and I'm not having any problems really :p

For gods sake!

Buy another gig of ram and you will have nothing to complain about. Yes the game will work with 1Gb but 2 is like night and day.

A 1.0 litre engine is good enough to move a car but a 2.0 is so much better.

Upgrade!

I upgraded to 2 GB and it's like you're not even playing the same game. MASSIVE performance improvements!

Are there any fixes not listed?
For example, the AA12 update (or the one after that) Fixed the flastlight bug I reported in the bug section, but it wasn't listed.

Added a system to prevent taking out the Patriarch instantly with one giant group of pipe bombs. Additionally, we have removed the ability to drop the pipe bomb inventory item to prevent players from stockpiling pipe bombs between rounds and spamming too many of them
Out of curiosity, what would this system be? Is it just a simple damage cap of some kind, or is just only one pipebomb effective at a time against the patriarch?

My game always freeze out for about 10 seconds during multi and also in solo mode. (You know well it's far enough to die - and when this occuring the game is not so fun.) I have 2 GB RAM. It happened a lot before this update. Now it happens less time.

Exactly my question.
Does it mean that there is a limit on how many bombs can be placed, that pat is immune, extra healing powers?
Maybe we shouldn't be told? (which is quite a fair response)

They said it in another topic:

It's a damage cap on how much damage the Patriarch can take from Pipebombs in an extremely short period of time. The damage cap is supposedly around that of 2 pipebombs. Meaning that any other pipebombs he sets off are wasted damage.

It doesn't make him immune to 'em by any means. It just means you have to spread them out and make him set them off 1 or 2 at a time instead of a massive crapton pile of 'em!

You can still stockpile pipe bombs all you like.

Just not Patriarch and if you find nuking Patriarch the sole reason of your fun as a Demo perk; I will initiate standing on my chair with arms up in the air out of complete confusion.

Also, "Now the Demoman as well, WOW," haha, oh freaking wow. Here, have a rip and tear.

They didn't destroy th zerker, they just gave everyone else the choice that the zerker had before. I fail to see how thats destroyed it.

The buff to everyone else made it a non-viable choice. The new weapons (ie except firebug and medic) can now do the zerkers job (Or firebug's job) about just as good, still do their own job even better than before, and do all this from much better range. It's what is sometimes called a stealth nerf: Everyone else gets a huge boost... perk power is relative to how strong the other perks are, you see. It's not rocket science. The firebug and berserker have been removed from effective gameplay options.

Well, I concede that you have me on the range issue. They really need to make the chainsaw do insane damage, or as mr. Andre would say: Insania damage! [/lisp]

They DID nerf Zerker too, though. The Katana is slower with no auto-attack and the Chainsaw is a joke weapon that the KNIFE outperforms! THE KNIFE!

A required update for Killing Floor has been released. All servers must be updated to remain compatible. The update fixes several bugs and exploits listed below:
  • Fixed exploits and bugs in maps Farm, BioticsLab, Manor, Wyre, Foundry, and Offices
  • Fixed a failure to switch to a new weapon when throwing the your pipebomb when playing online
  • Fixed pipe bombs appearing to explode when they went out of your view for a while when playing online
  • Fixed pipe bombs not making an explosion sound online sometimes when you don't see them explode
  • Fixed high level Firebugscatching on fire even though they don't take fire damage
  • Fixed the zeds not doing the burning behavior as well as continuously burning, when they shouldn't
  • Added a system to prevent taking out the Patriarch instantly with one giant group of pipe bombs. Additionally, we have removed the ability to drop the pipe bomb inventory item to prevent players from stockpiling pipe bombs between rounds and spamming too many of them
  • Fixed vulture head textures sometimes appearing when players were taking damage/getting shot at
  • Fixed a remaining exploit where picking up weapons that were dropped on the ground for a while would give too much money when the item was sold
  • Additional memory usage reductions
We hope this helps enjoy the game, as always!

It totally has. These patches are proof that you guys actually care.

Gearbox's Borderlands, as an example hasn't even received a PC patch to address their well-known bugs and issues (these were found by people reviewing the game weeks before the release date).

So I really mean it when I say that you guys rock. You guys have my full support as a consumer and tutorial maker lol.
