A required update for Killing Floor has been released. All servers must be updated to remain compatible. The update fixes several bugs and exploits listed below:
  • Fixed exploits and bugs in maps Farm, BioticsLab, Manor, Wyre, Foundry,and Offices
  • Fixed a failure to switch to a new weapon when throwing the your pipebomb when playing online
  • Fixed pipe bombs appearing to explode when they went out of your view for a while when playing online
  • Fixed pipe bombs not making an explosion sound online sometimes when you don't see them explode
  • Fixed high level Firebugscatching on fire even though they don't take fire damage
  • Fixed the zeds not doing the burning behavior as well as continuously burning, when they shouldn't
  • Added a system to prevent taking out the Patriarch instantly with one giant group of pipe bombs. Additionally, we have removed the ability to drop the pipe bomb inventory item to prevent players from stockpiling pipe bombs between rounds and spamming too many of them
  • Fixed vulture head textures sometimes appearing when players were taking damage/getting shot at
  • Fixed a remaining exploit where picking up weapons that were dropped on the ground for a while would give too much money when the item was sold
  • Additional memory usage reductions

I understand why you did this, but it kinda gimps a thing my team had going: In the later rounds, our high-level Demoman would buy everyone Pipe Bombs for anti-FP duty, as they were around $100 for him, but $800 for everyone else.

Looks like that's gone...

IMO if they cant get this game 95% right...HOS will be a disaster, even though it looks amazing, this game went from great (when commando only had the bullpup) to almost unplayable in the current state(at least it was a day ago). I havent tried this update yet, if things are back to playable (for more than 30 mins at a time)...i will correct myself!

That freaking BLOWS. I understand why you guys did it. But you also just killed a HUGE part of the fun factor of even having pipe bombs. It was fun to stock pile them and know that anything that stepped on them was gunna get insta gibbed. It was fun to play with and see how big you could get it now that is gone and that sucks.

Preventing the pipe bomb spam is a good idea but a big group of pipe bombs that can't take out a Patriarch is plain weird. I rarely use demo but it seems too many restrictions at once.
I'd like to hear what the demos think.

But aside from this it's a fast response from TW thanks!

are you still getting slow connections? since the patch before this last one, i was in in less than 15 seconds as opposed to the 60-90 seconds before. you really should invest in some more RAM

Are you joking O.O? Pipebomb spam was the biggest joke. I'm sooooo glad it was removed <3 Can't thank enough, Tripwire!

Oh, and they still has the nade launchers. Oh, and they can carry BOTH, and you still say they are destroyed? LOL
